Chapter Fifty Six

After the film finished we walked out into the foyer "I'll give you a ride to your Mom's" Steve stated fishing his keys from his pocket "No. It's fine I erm.. I'm meeting Eddie for something" Steve stared at me a concerned look on his face "You're meeting Eddie? What for?" "Just erm... You know" he sighed
"Kat... You don't need to do that" I shook my head "I don't need any advice from you Steve ok? Just, go I'll come see you tomorrow" I walked away and out into the parking lot looking around for Munson. A van flashed me a few spaces away and I headed over.

I opened the passenger side door and slid in "Sorry it's not a Camaro" I shook my head as he turned the stereo down slightly. I buckled up and Eddie pulled out of the parking space. I saw Steve watching us from the front of the cinema building "Have I ruined your date with Steve? I thought you were with Hargrove anyway?" I shook my head again "You guys broke up" I looked down at my hands "Yeah... We broke up" it was quiet for a moment "Sorry. You guys had a good ride though huh?" I turned to look at Eddie as he drove us wherever he was driving to "So erm anyway I've got plenty of pot at my place..." He trailed off. I felt the tears coming again "You ok?" he asked
"No. Not really" I told him honestly as we pulled into the local trailer park "You live here?" I asked him
"I know... It doesn't have the best reputation" he joked as he pulled up outside of a trailer. We got out of the van and he let me into his place "You live here alone?"
"Nah, my Uncle lives here to but he works nights" he pulled a box out "Ok, so I can do you half a gram for twenty dollars"
"I need something stronger than pot" I told him, he raised an eyebrow "Are you sure you're ok?" He asked
"No. I'm not ok. Which is why I'm here. With you. I need something to take the edge off. I need it to stop hurting so much!" I sighed, closing my eyes "Sorry.. I don't mean to be a bitch" he nodded "I get it Kat... I might have some Ketamine.." he turned back to the drawer and started searching "special k?" I asked
"Yeah that's right" I sat down on a chair "Might take me a while to find it because I can't remember where I hid the damn shit" he closed the drawer and went into one of the back rooms for a while. He returned a few minutes later "Got it" he shook the baggie in between his fingers and came and sat opposite me "So I can do you half a gram for I don't know thirty five?" I grabbed my bag "This better be good Munson" he smiled
"I can assure you it's better than whatever shit Tommy was selling" I shrugged "I wouldn't know... So" I said placing forty bucks down on the table "How do you take this shit anyway?" He pulled the baggie back "Wait, you've never taken ket before?"
"No.. how about you take some with me?" I asked him
"If you insist Carter" I smiled as he opened the baggie "Give me your hand" I put my hand out palm up "No turn it over" he sprinkled some of the powder on the back of my hand "That should do it" I looked at the white powder and waited whilst Eddie poured some onto his hand "Just snort it" I closed off one of my nostrils. I watched as Eddie did his "How long will it take?"
"Fifteen minutes... Maybe longer, it just depends. Just chill" he stood up and headed into the kitchen area, opening the fridge and grabbing a beer "Want one?" I nodded he came and sat next to me instead of opposite. I opened up the beer and took a long swig "What happened then? I thought you and Billy were unbreakable?" He asked
"You know Jennifer?"
"Do I know Jennifer?" Eddie replied snorting "Unfortunately I do.. she's the one who came up with Eddie the freak Munson" I smiled
"Of course she did... Well I caught her and Billy together.. my best friend and my boyfriend"
"Woah... That sucks. I'm sorry" I pulled out my cigarettes and took one out offering the pack to Eddie. He took one gratefully "Is that the reason you're back here?"
"Yup... I thought getting away from it all in LA would help. Plus I haven't seen my Mom in a few months so I figured why not" I lit my cigarette and took a long drag. I was starting to feel more relaxed. I closed my eyes.
