Chapter Sixty Three

I hated that he was here right now. Giving me that look from across the dinner table. I was tipsy. Me and Stacey had been sneaking wine in juice cups all afternoon "That was really great Nina" Penny announced as she placed her knife and fork down "I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's been a long time since I've been able to cook a Thanksgiving meal for more than just me and Katrina"
"I think it was really nice of Kat to invite us all over" Eddie stated from his seat beside me, his hand coming to rest on my thigh. Billy saw the gesture and I could see his jaw twitch before he stood up "Munson? You mind if we have a little talk?" I shook my head and turned to look at Eddie "Don't give him the time Eddie" I spoke
"Kat stay out of this" he snapped. I looked around the table at everyone, luckily they had all started up their own conversations and Mom and Susan were clearing the table already. Eddie smiled at me "It's fine Kat.. we're alright" Billy and Eddie left and I watched them leave "Aren't you going to see what they're talking about" Stacey slurred beside me "Jesus Stacey.. maybe we should get you sobered up" I grabbed the cup from in front of her and headed into the kitchen where Mom and Susan were now washing up. I hadn't realized how drunk I was either, I couldn't walk straight and the prescription painkillers I was on probably weren't helping. I nudged myself between them with a glass to fill up with water from the tap before heading back to Stacey who was now sat on the couch in the sitting room "Here... I'm just going to check on the boys" I stumbled up the stairs and into my bedroom where Eddie and Billy were talking "I just helped her out man. She came to me" I heard Eddie say as he looked at me "Ask her yourself.. she'll confirm it"
"Ask me what?" I slurred before laughing at how the question came out. They both stared at me "Could you get Kat some water?" Billy asked Eddie "And I mean water. I don't want you lacing her with anything else" Billy followed Eddie as he left, closing and locking the door with the sliding lock I had on it. Thanks to having a drunken Mom always bursting in. Billy turned to me "You're really drunk Kat. How did you get so messed up?" I shrugged as he came over to me "You'd do anything for me wouldn't you?" I stepped closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck, staring up at him, he lent down and pressed his lips to mine softly once, testing the waters I suppose to see if I was game. I kissed him back hard and his hands grabbed onto my waist, pulling me in closer "You know I'd do anything for you baby" he murmured against me, answering my earlier question. Billy walked us back to the bed and I collapsed onto it, him hovering over me. I started to unbutton his shirt but my fingers wouldn't work "Why can't you just be normal and wear t shirts all the time" I told him as he pulled the shirt off of himself. I smiled as I looked at his body, my fingers dancing across his toned abdomen. The door handle jiggled and then there was a knock "Kindda busy in here!" Billy shouted "Come on guys... Don't be stupid Hargrove" Eddie called. Billy rolled his eyes before kissing me more "Kat's not thinking straight. She's on really strong painkillers for her ribs and she's been drinking. You need to open the door" Billy stopped kissing me and stared down at me "Come on man!" Eddie shouted from the other side of the door "I'm a dealer. I know what I'm talking about" he hesitated, still hovering over me as I smiled up at him. He pulled himself up and grabbed his shirt "Hey, where are you going?" I asked him as he unlocked the bedroom door, letting Eddie in "she's all yours" I heard Billy say as I tried to sit up. Eddie looked over at me "You alright there Carter?" He was smirking at me "Need some help?"
"It's this thing on my chest... It's hard to move"
"I bet it is. Even more so when you're mixing strong ass painkillers with wine" Eddie pulled me up to sitting and the room span "Woah..." He handed me the glass of water "Drink this and lie back down. You should get some sleep" he told me. I took the glass and drank deeply "Wow that's good" he smiled at me "You're hilarious Kat. Do you have any pyjamas?"
"No... It's fine" I got under the covers "Where did Billy go?" I asked closing my eyes "I don't know... Maybe it's best that he doesn't come back here at the minute. You need to sleep off the alcohol" I nodded, eyes still closed "Will you stay with me?" I asked him. He didn't reply so I opened one of my eyes to look at him, he was stood by the door "I'll come back later alright?" I nodded
"Ok. You'd better Munson" he smiled "Get some rest"
