I opened my eyes and for a second I had no idea where I was. I looked to the side of me to see Eddie fast asleep, his dark hair stuck to his face. I sat up and grabbed my bra, slipping it on "Sneaking out huh?' I looked down at Eddie who was up on his elbows now, watching me
"I'm not sneaking out.." I laid back down beside him "I wasn't using you as a rebound or whatever you know?" I tried to explain. He smiled, showing off his dimples
"I don't mind if you were" I rolled my eyes at him and grabbed his arm where I saw the watch he was wearing. It was 9.30 in the morning "I do have to go though" he grabbed my waist pulling me over so that I was on top of him "Come on... Stay here a while longer" I shook my head "Eddie. Last night was a one time thing ok?" He suddenly looked a little crest fallen at the statement "I'm sorry... You know I just broke up with Billy... Plus I'm only here another few days, then I have to be back in LA" he nodded
"I get that Kat. Doesn't mean we can't have a little fun whilst you're here" I smiled at him and scooted off of him and looked around for the rest of my clothes before pulling them on "I do have to go Ed... I've gotta check on Max Mayfield and then I have to check in with Mom.. she'll think I've ran away again or something as I didn't show up at home last night" I opened the back door of the van and sat on the edge pulling on my shoes "I'll drive you back to the trailer park" I turned to him as he pulled on his own clothes "Ok, thanks" I climbed down from the van and headed over to where we were sat last night, picking up my abandoned pack of cigarettes and lighter. I pulled one out and lit it as I heard the van start up.

Back at the trailer park I opened the van door "Hey, listen. If you're not doing anything tonight my band are playing at the hideout... You should come see us play" I looked across at him
"Sure.. yeah I'll try and make it if I can" I told him. Whether I would or not I wasn't sure "I'll erm see you" I climbed out of the van and headed across the park to Max's knocking on the door. Max's Mom Susan answered "Hey" I greeted her smiling, not sure what her reaction would be to me after the chaos I'd once caused her and Neil "Katrina? Hi.. what are you doing here?" I was about to explain I was coming by to see Max when she appeared "Kat.. Hey. What are you doing here?" she said, asking me the same question.
"I just erm. I wondered if I could talk to you guys?" Max shook her head from behind her Mom, but I ignored it. They both clearly needed help "Sure, come in Kat" I walked by Susan into the house "What brings you back to Hawkins? Thanksgiving?" She asked as we sat on the couch "Yeah, just seeing Mom and friends..."
"You want a drink? I'll get you some water" Susan said getting up. Once she'd left the room Max looked over at me "You can't say anything about Billy" she warned me "She doesn't know we know he's with you... She'll freak. All of this could have been avoided. It's his fault and we want nothing to do with him" I stared at Max "Please Kat. I'm begging you. Don't mention Billy" Susan came back into the room with a glass, handing it to me "I found some lemonade in the fridge" I smiled at her "Thanks" it was silent for a few moments until Susan spoke again
"So what did you want to talk to us about?" I parted my lips looking at Max
"I was just, well..."
"She wanted to make sure we were ok.." Max interjected "You know after Neil left and everything" Susan smiled
"We're ok Kat. Thanks for the concern... You know you were never to blame for Billy and his behaviour. It was all Neil" I nodded as I drained the lemonade in my glass "Well that's good. ok. I'd better go" I stood up "Thanks for the Lemonade" I headed to the door of the trailer and pulled it open before they could say goodbye to me.
