i have so many mixed opinions on volume 2.

first of all,

mike is SOOO badly written. his character got so much worse from s3-4. i thought that he was gonna get better after the whole "hawkins isn't the same without you" scene but nah the duffers fucked up his character so bad, and for what??? mike is so selfish while will is the complete opposite. the fact that will had to fucking tell him to keep going was honestly just heart breaking. he couldn't even tell el he loved her when she was sobbing in front of him, will had to convince him to do it even though he literally loves him. i am mad. and im sorry but he looked so bored. the scenes with will felt incredibly heartfelt, but the scenes with el felt forced. it really pissed me off the way they wrote mike's character. and the fact he said his life started the day he met el was just shattering. because that's the day will disappeared, that scene made me so so angry.

the duffers & noah built up byler so much just for it to literally be nothing. will does everything so other people can be safe and happy. he is so selfless it honestly makes me sad. they broke both of the only 2 gay characters on the shows hearts. no thanks. and the fact will was sad in like every scene he was in?? ugh. MAKE WILL BYERS HAPPY RIGHT NOW. i am done with will byers being useless, get that boy a gun and ill be happy. give me main character will back right now!!

bro that scene in the car made me so mad bc the duffers used will's feelings and sexuality to boost mileven and continued to do it throughout the whole thing. and he only said all of that stuff so mike will be happy, it seriously breaks my heart. mike wheeler is not the heart, will is. i love eleven, i think she's great and super super powerful but she's better off on her own and independent. ur right mike, she doesn't need u 🤣🤣 but i know someone who does: will byers. he needs mike and knowing mike doesnt need him is whats making him miserable. tbh will probably sits up at night thinking about how mike used to be, and bitch so do i 😓.

but the ACTING HOWEVER, was spectacular. millie never ever has a bad scene and neither does noah, they all play their parts so well and it shocks me to my core that finn has to play such a shitty written character. every single member of that cast has such inspiring acting talents. they all blew me away. name one part where the acting was bad: nothing

words cannot express how happy i was when hopper and el reunited, it was such an amazing scene. im so excited for season 5, i just hope they express will's sexuality properly and dont throw it in the dust again. i mean, it's obvious ofc but they haven't truly addressed it and they've still written mike to be completely oblivious ☠️. and i really hope that in season 5 we'll get more scenes with finn & noah because they act so well with eachother. will and mike have such amazing chemistry, i really hope they're endgame but wouldn't be surprised if they're not. i mean lets be real, this is the duffers we're talking about.

mike and eleven are cute, don't get me wrong, but will and mike have that chemistry and they've had it since the very start. im sorry but chemistry is just more important than cuteness. mike couldn't even say i love you to el even though she was crying in front of him but when will tells him to keep on going suddenly he can??? bitch what. even when will and mike were in mikes driveway in season 1, they looked at eachother with so much care and love and the duffers threw that all down the hill, its really fucking annoying. and there aint no way a girl who has saved the world 3 times escaped because a boy told her he loved her 😹😹 bullshit. she's incredibly powerful, she aint need no micheal wheeler. i think having your best friend about to die in front of you is enough to make u escape.

i hope they make mike a better person next season because what they've done with him in season 3 and 4 has made me so mad. petition to bring back season 2 mike please!!!! petition to make him gay again!!!

and eddie's guitar scene was literally the coolest part omfg i LOVED IT. his death literally broke my heart, and dustins reaction made all matters worse. i couldn't stop sobbing for the last hour of ep 9 im not kidding 😓.

and i havent seen ANYONE talk about how fucking sad lucas must have been??? imagine having the love of your life die in your arms and all because some stupid fucking highschool boy wanted a fight. i feel so bad for max and lucas, i just wanted them to watch that fucking movie on friday.
