The day of work was done for Mila Hartman, with that said she decided to pay her best friend a visit at Betsy's hopefully without any run ins to Natalia, all she wanted to do was talk to her friend alone.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Mia!" called out Mila when she saw her friend in a hurried pace walking back towards the office. "Mila, hey!" called out Mia "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," continued Mia.

"You haven't, been kinda busy lately." Mia then realized to what Mila was alluding to, "lets catch up at the office come on"

Mila followed Mia into the office where Mia took a seat at her desk and Mila uncomfortably sat in the ugly green single seater she always begged Betsy to get rid of.

"Whats troubling ya Hartman," said Mia comfortably sitting back in her office chair.

"What makes you think something is troubling me?"

Mia raised an eyebrow at her best friend

"Alright," Mia gestured for her to continue satisfied that her best friend had caught on

"Its your sister actually," said Mila getting more uncomfortable by the minute clearly shifting in her seat.

"Did something happen? Is she okay?" she asked semi worried

"No she's fine it's just,"

"Yes?"

"Her arrival has made my life complicated," said Mila

"How so?"

"Well, I find her literally on every corner, she shows up at Rick's house and now in my shed, here, even when I want to get a cup of coffee in the morning."

All Mia could do was stare at her, imaginarily scolding her sister for doing exactly what she told her not to.

"And I know its not really your business to tell your sister what to do or anything but I don't know what to do, things are finally moving along with Jackie but I can't help feeling guilty."

"But, why do you feel guilty?" asked Mia "Are you, feeling some type of way?"

Mila took a deep breath, the last thing she wanted to do was admit any type of feelings, saying it out loud would make them real. Well honestly she wasn't even sure she was feeling them.

"I think I'm just confused, seeing Natalia back here all of the sudden has been an adjustment so I guess maybe there was an adrenaline rush that I mistaking for something else."

Mia thought about the words Hartman was saying, she knew the truth about the situation, but she also knew what her best friend needed to hear.

"Hartman, Natalia and you are in the past, do your thing, date Jackie. You'll get used to life having my sister around again, don't go back to where you were, you surpassed it, keep it that way," said Mia leaning towards the desk.

"You're right, thanks Mia."

"Honestly though, I can't believe that we're having a conversation about this again."  Mila only looked at Mia now being extremely aware of Mia's facial expressions, they served the look of disappointment, she was visably upset.

Mila could not find the words to respond, she only swallowed a clump of saliva that had been forming at the back of her throat.

"Look you know I love ya, and because I do and you're my best friend, I have to talk you straight up."

"No I totally  understand that, and its actually why I came to you"

Mia looked at Mila up and down

"You know what it is that you need?"

Mila knew that when Mia got that inquisitive look in her eye she was up to no good.

Mila hesistantly answered "what?"

Mia rested back in her chair and propped her legs on the desk in a crossed manner.

"A party." Mia immediately smiled and raised her eyebrows at her best friend

"Yeah, I don't think thats-"   "Come one Hartman, loosen up a little, you have been so tense since my sister got here, go to the party, invite Jackie, and learn to be loose around my sister again, its the perfect plan."

All Mila could do was give her friend a concerned smile, knowing there was no way she would be getting out of this.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So tell me darlin, what am I going to get for this little 'favor' we'll call it." said Mark grabbing Ana's waist.

"Lets just say you'll get a very, extremely special welcome back," she said whispering in his ear.

"Hmm, compelling, but I want more."

Ana felt instant worry but tried to keep it away from her face so Mark wouldn't be discouraged.

"How do you mean?" she said again trying not to sound concerned.

Mark held her waist tighter and sank his legs a bit more to her level.

"When I get back.." he said taking pauses to look at Ana in between his sentences.

"I want you to come with me, to my house in croatia, and be my wife." he finished.

"What?" said Ana moving away from him a little bit. "Are you crazy? I can't run away with a criminal, plus I have a job here, that I like."

"Do you want me to do this for you or not?" said Mark raising his eyebrow while Ana stayed silent

"Thats what it'll cost ya."

Ana remained silent, staring at the criminal before her,

"Alright," she said feeling fear in her heart, one that was still full of revenge allowing her to accept such proposition.

"Perect, I will fly out tomorrow," he said with an evergrowing smirk that brought a coldness into her heart.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yo, sis," said Mia walking into the homestead

"Yes?" said Natalia without ungluing her eyes to her laptop, relishing in her newfound roll to work on her novel

"We have a party to plan."

"What?" she said while still typing

"Yeah we should buy a pack of beers, maybe get some snacks, be right by the beach, you know"

"Uh huh and why are we doing this?" said Natalia keeping up with her typing speed

"Beacsue there hasn't been a notorious small town party in a while and I wanna throw one."

"Alright alright, so does this mean that everyone is invited?" she said finally ungluing herself from her laptop just a bit

"If by that you mean if Hartman and Jackie are going, yes"

Oh right, Jackie, Natalia thought.

"And by the way, I told you to stay away, whatever happened to that?" asked Mia

"Nothing, everything is normal, why?"

"Right well just remember what I told you, things have changed."

"I know Mia, don't worry," Natalia stopped typing and just thought about the fact that Mila was with Jackie, she had to get over whatever she was feeling, it was over, its been over for 6 years.

"So what do you say, wanna help me plan a party?"
