Unexpected

"Alright looks like we have eveything we need, put the beers over there, and would you bring me the chips ?" said Mia yelling across the beach at her sister to help her finish the setup for the party. 

Natalia dragged the heavy cooler half way across the beach to the party setup, then going back for the chips to set them up on the table. She only imagined people would start arriving soon, Mia had already texted the entire town and their dog. 

Mia then rolled the gigantic twin speakers to the setup, granted there was no party without music blastin. 

The lightness around them quickly turned dark as the time setting up the party passed and town regulars started showing up. 

"Heyyyy welcome welcome," said Mia to the incoming party goers, already having had some beers of her own. Natalia on the other hand had a beer in her hand but it had barely been touched by her lips. She was anxious about the arrival of Mila and her... girlfriend, she was constantly looking through the crowd of people arriving with anxiety getting worse the more people arrived knowing that soon they would too. 

"Hartman! and Jackie, you made it!" said Mia having finished 3 beers already Mila side hugged her best friend helping her stand a little "Hey, yeah we made it" she then preceeded to whisper to her best friend seeing her in this state "how much have you had already?" Mia only laughed and said "relax Hartman, you're here to have fun, go go!" Mila gave her best friend a last look of concern and dediced to head to the heart of the party and maybe grab a beer for her and Jackie when she saw the one person, she didn't want to see. 

Natalia felt her anxiety turn into a lump in her throat when she saw her arrive with Jackie, at that very moment she decided to finally down the beer she had been letting get warm, taking a worthy swig downing it almost completely. 

Jackie looked at Mila's line of sight becoming annoyed by the fact that she was staring at her ex, "come on lets dance" she grabbed Mila's free hand and led them to the dance floor, dancing extremely close. 

Natalia seeing this grew angry and resorted to walking to the cooler for more beer.

"Henry," said Mia surprised to see him 

"Haven't slowed down at all have you?" he said with his typical southern accent, hat and signature stache. 

"Don't need to," she said putting her elbow on his shoulder

"Mhm come on, you need to sit," he said putting his arm around her waist "careful Henry"

Meanwhile at the other side of the party was Natalia sitting on top of the cooler drinking the awful tasting beers watching Jackie and her ex girlfriend grinding on the other. 

"Babygirl," she heard her sister approach 

"Mm?" she said without removing her eye line towards the girls dancing. 

"Come on, you need to stop this," great, even tipsy she watches out for me, thought Natalia.

"What are you doing here? leave me be," she said drunkily while taking another sip. 

"Helping you, and also avoiding Henry, but mostly helping you" she said slurring her words.

Both drunk sisters made it to a table with chairs and just sat there staring at the people they wanted...be happy, without them. 

Natalia felt the effects of the beers start to pile up on her bladder. 

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom," said Natalia, if Mia wasn't drunk she would have registered that it was probably a bad idea to let her drunk sister wander, but nonetheless she was drunk.
