Eddie saw that Mira was still very visibly upset. He didn't really know what to do and said the first thing that came to his mind.

"Hey, you wanna go take a walk in the woods or something? Just something to take your mind off of.. y'know." He said, his hand on her thigh, her legs were on the couch, and they watched tv.

"Mira?" He asked when he noticed she didn't say anything.

"Huh? What? Sorry I kinda zoned out there for a moment." She nervously laughed, looking over to him.

"Your fine. Anyways I was saying we should go take a walk or something, ease your nerves." He said, looking into her eyes.

"Oh, yeah, sure." She said, giving him a small smile and getting up.

Eddie beat her to the door, quickly running over and opening it for her, making her laugh.

He could listen to her laugh for days, weeks honestly. He hasn't heard her laugh much since Dj's death, and hoped he could get her through it.

They walked into the nearby woods, making sure not to be seen by anyone. Eddie asked to hold her hand, to which she agreed.

"So.. I was thinking." Eddie started.

"Uh oh. That's never good."

Eddie laughed "Okay, ouch, anyways.. maybe after all this is over we can have a proper date, you and me time. Only if you want-"

"I'd love to Munson."

He smiled so wide he thought that his face was burning.

He looked the other way, towards the lake to hide his smile and blush on his face.

She also looked the other way to hide her growing smile.

"You know... I was wondering since you came in the other day.."

"Hm?" Eddie looked at her when she spoke again, his hand still intertwined with hers.

"You listened to master of puppets yet?"

"Uh, obviously!"

"Alright, alright. But! Have you figured out the chords yet?" She smirked.

"Yes actually, and I know exactly how to play it." He replied smugly.

Her smirk fell.

"What?! I figured out the chords but I kept messing up." She whined.

"It came out like 2 or 3 weeks Ago! How'd you already?-"

"I'm just too good, sweetheart." He winked and she sighed.

"Damn. And here I was thinking that you haven't even figured out the chords."

He laughed, man this girl would be the death of him.
(Hah)

"I know you guys are staring at me." Max said when Steve, Dustin and Lucas all stared at her writing down her notes.

"What, sorry?"

"You said you needed something?"

"Just hanging out."

"How you think your eyes boring into the back of my head is protecting me from Vecna, I don't know."

They all ignored her, pretending like nothing happened and they totally weren't just staring at her.

"You can look at me now."

"Thank you. "

"Sorry."

"Sorry."

"Sorry."

She gave them all an envelope. And some extra ones.

"Hey, what are you doing? No, don't. That's not for now. Don't open it now."

"Don't... okay."

Steve and the others haven't even built up the courage to open up Dj's envelopes yet. Especially Steve. They felt bad but I mean they didn't even get to say bye, and they left the body just laying there.

That guilt sucked for them all, but they can't just carry a dead body around can they now?

"Max, things are gonna work out."

"No! No, I don't need you to reassure me and tell me it's all gonna work out. We said the same shit to Dj, and they're dead now! Huh? So why- why if everything is gonna work out, why is Dj laying on the floor of a drug dealers dead?!"

Everyone stayed silent, Steve and Dustin looked down, almost in shame.

Max went over to a walkie-talkie on the table and picked it up.

"If we go to east Hawkins will this reach Pennhurst?"

"Of course. Yeah."

"Why are we talking about east Hawkins?" Steve asked, and they all gave him a knowing look.

"No. No. No! Max, max, seriously. Seriously I'm not joking. I'm not driving you anywhere."

"Steve, if you think I'm going to spend what is likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike wheelers basement, you're out of your mind. Either take me where I need to go or tie me down, which is technically kidnapping of a minor. And if I live to see another day, Steve. I swear to god I will prosecute."

Max went to open the car door, but it was locked.

"Open the door."

"Uh, no."

"I know a good lawyer."

(Matt Murdock and Saul Goodman. Great lawyers)

Steve shook his head and scoffed, getting his keys out.

"Henderson, that super walkie-talkie of yours better reach Pennhurst."

Max heard the clock chime again, she looked over to where it was coming from and then got in the car.
