Jay was re-reading Jim's journal in the room. She had fans beside the table to try and maintain room temperature as she ead the book.
She read all the pages with entrees, and then started the blank pages, but she found nothing. Jay sat back, frustrated, then gasped as the fan made the page flip again.
Jay's eyes widened as she read the page, then froze.
This...this changed everything.

Stevie was speaking with May when Jay stormed past.
"Uh...where are you going?" Stevi asked.
"To sleep." Jay answered simply.
Stevie noticed that the collar at her neck was sparking. "Is, uh...is that okay?"
"It better not be." Stevie had to strain to hear Jay's response before she slammed the door shut.
May glanced at her and Stevie shrugged.

Jay inhaled sharply as she appeared in her headspace.
"You lied." She said. Gem blinked, surprised. "Excuse me?"
"You didn't...you chose to kill Jim." Jay growled.
Gem narrowed her eyes. "He was a pain in my side. I did everyone a favor."
"What did he do to you? He was innocent!" Jay yelled.
"You're taking on more than you can handle." Gem growled.
"I don't even know who you are!" Jay growled, her tail lashing.
Gem smirked. "Who am I?"
"I am Kate."
