When Stevie was ready, she walked out into the main room, where everybody else was.
"Hey!" Aelia waved. "You're awake! That's great." She pointed at Goose. "I heard what happened, and I'm sorry for this knucklehead, he's a bit if a simp."
"No!" Goose said, but his entire face went red. "I am not!"
"If you say so." Aelia turned back to Stevie. "Are you alright? I know what happened was a bit of a shock, for you more than any of us."
"Yeah." Stevie nodded. "We just need to think of a good enough plan, and get Jay back as soon as possible."
"Exactly!" Aelia smiled. "I'm glad you're feeling better."
"Alright, before we do this I think we need to figure out everyone's strengths." Goose said. "To make the plan more efficient."
"I think you may be the smartest of us." Aelia hummed. "You're like, the war planner."
"I hope we don't have to actually go to war." Jordie said, shifting.
"It won't come to that." Stormy patted him on the back. Stevie realized that May was standing on the rim of the fountain to gain height.
"Be careful." Stevie and Kim said at the same time, then jumped, looked at each other, and laughed.
"Well, there's our first pair of kindred spirits." May grinned.
"I think Adam is by far the strongest of all of us." Stormy said, crossing her arms. "Although Aelia may come in a close second, when they were fighting it was a pretty even match."
"Oh, no, I'm not all that." Aelia raised her palms. "I can just take a lot of hits. I have yet to find something as painful as experimenting."
"What do you mean?" Stevie asked, then remembered. "Oh, the notebook! You woke up during the experiments?"
"Worst day of my life." Aelia confirmed. "It hurt. A lot."
"I can be really sneaky!" Jordie said, grinning. "I have a lot of experience from pranks."
"That's helpful." Goose nodded.
May shrugged. "I can climb really well, and jump far, if it helps at all. Look!" May leapt at Stevie and sat on her head. Stevie blinked. "You are...surprisingly light."
"Why, thank you." May grinned.
"Alright, I saw. Now, please, get off Stevie's head." Goose said, although he had a slight smile.
May nodded and hopped down.
"What about you, Stevie?" Kim asked. "What's your secret weapon?"
"'Secret weapon'?" Stevie laughed. "It's not that special, I just consider myself persuasive. I persuaded Kate, although I guess that doesn't count."
"You helped persuade me." Al hummed. "That counts."
"I guess..." Stevie shuffled. "Alright, that counts, sure."
"Very helpful." Goose nodded.
"What's your 'secret weapon' then, Kim?" Stevie asked.
Kim shrugged. "Uh, I'm good at finding out how the enemy feels, and making people more comfortable, and I know a bit about the lab."
"I also have lab knowledge." Al nodded.
"I...can comfort people. That's it, I'm basically useless." Stormy crossed her arms. "But if you ever need an extra pair of wings, I'm here."
"...Alright.." Goose blinked. "We can work with this."
"Yeah!" Stevie grinned. "Let's save Jay! Hey-wait, how long was I asleep?"
"Six hours." Kim said. Stevie's eyes widened. "Six?"
"Yep." Aelia nodded. "We didn't want to make a plan without you so we all just chilled while we waited."
"Uhh...thanks?" Stevie blinked at her. "Maybe we should hurry on our plan, though, because Jay's been in the gemstone for six hours and she might not be doing well.."
"Quality cannot be rushed." Goose hummed. Aelia smacked him with her tail and he yelped. "What?! I'm telling the truth!"
"It's fine." Stevie laughed, despite how amusing it was to see Aelia wack Goose. "I'm sure Jay'll be fine. She can handle herself until we save her, I think."
Aelia nodded. "I hope so, but I also hope that we don't take so long that she has to handle herself."
"That's fair, both of you." Kim nodded. "We're all worried for her."
Stevie nodded and the group started on the plan.
