One patient after another induced Sul Hee to work overnight.

She could not neglect her work and had to treat them, especially after what happened last night. She was so occupied with Cassian that it took Sehun a few tries to get her to rest or even have a meal. The other medical assistants were exhausted, yet they continued.

They scattered around, finding more room in other chambers for the civilians to rest. They were all resting by the hallways. Some were perched on the floors. Others were on a makeshift bed. Some laid down on thin mats.

She needed to find a distraction — to keep her mind out of the Queen's death.

Sul Hee was folding a bandage around the arm of an old woman. The old lady's arm was scabbed from a fire incident. Sul Hee had already applied some ointment after cleaning it. Her arms and fingers were trembling. Her sight was beginning to blur out the sharp details.

She squints her eyes, even though the candlelight was sitting on the table next

A gentle palm rests on her shoulder. She flinches at the familiar touch.

"Madam, let me help you." Sehun states, pulling a chair near the old lady.

"Thank you, general." she smiles.

Cassian hands Sul Hee a blood bag, preferably O+. She thanks her assistant and stares at the small bag for a bit.

Sehun rips the bandage cloth and ties the knots carefully and tightly. The old lady thanks the general and the head nurse before being assisted out of the chamber by the sentry.

"Are there ... any more patients, Cassian?"

Silence replies as Cassian is not present in the chamber.

"Cassian?" Sul Hee looks around, forgetting the blood bag in her hand.

"Sul Hee." Sehun calls.

She barely flinches at the stern tone in his voice. She stands up, leaving the blood bag on the chair.

"What, Sehun?" she snaps back.

The general follows in pursuit, swiftly grabbing her wrist to stop her from walking away. She halts, back facing the man.

"You need to drink something." he calmly states.

SulHee lets out a deep frustrated exhale.

"Sehun, I can't think of drinking anything right now."

The general adds pressure to her wrist. She quickly turns around. Her fingers try to pluck off Sehun's slender ones.

"Owh, Sehun, you're hurting me." she whines.

Her attempts fail. She grows even more tired. When Sehun doesn't let her wrist go, she glances up at the general.

She understands what he's doing, but her emotions couldn't handle the thought of taking care of herself.

"Would the Queen want her trusted head nurse to fall sick and die?"

Her chest twinges at the mention of the Queen.

"Sehun, don't start with this, please." SulHee mumbles under her breath, her voice shaking with each forced word.

Sehun envelops one arm around her waist and slowly pulls her close. She doesn't push him away and instead starts bawling her eyes out. She nuzzles against his chest, letting her tears stain his overalls. His fingers frequently brush her hair, inducing the head nurse to sob harder.

SulHee grabs the general's clothes. She creases the material, but he could care less.

As she has been standing for a long time, he directs her to sit down on the chair.
