My dad was on vacation this week because yesterday was my mom's birthday. Today, we went on a long road trip to the Mohawk trail. I brought a few books to read on the way there. "There there" by Tommy Orange (A book I had to read for my Native American Literature class at Salem State)," An American girl: Caroline", "Being Jazz" by Jazz Jennings, "Queer, there, and everywhere: 23 people who changed the world" by Sarah Prager (I got this book from Safe Homes but never got around to reading it until last month, and "Uncomfortable conversations with a black boy" by Emmanuel Acho. I read a chapter from one book and then read a chapter from another book.
When we got to the beginning of the trail, we stopped at the Outpost, but they won't open when we got there and didn't open when it was 10. We had to move on to the next thing.

Then we went to an antique shop. I bought my mom a couple of earrings and an eye pillow. I might do some yoga later or meditation.

Then there was another antique shop. Since my dad had got my mom a record player, I bought a record there. They had a bunch of them, but I bought Elvis Presley. My dad bought a few records too. I also bought a couple of movies there too. "Star man" which I watched with my mom when I got home since by the time, I got home it was late for the movie night with Rachel and a national geographic movie on human's family tree. Then we went inside and looked around what was inside. There were a few things I wanted to get but a couple I decided on. A book on children's stories and a small fur bag that Native Americans made.
