All my life I have only lived in one place. An apartment on the corner of Pemberton and Page Street in Worcester. Close to Clark University and Claremont Academy. My parents moved there when my mom was pregnant with me and all my life I lived there. I then moved when I went to college at Salem State in Salem MA but would of course come home on some weekends and on vocations. After I graduated I moved back home in that apartment. I of course have been to Oxford. My mom grow up there. This was her childhood home. She was actually born in Worcester too because Oxford doesn't have a hospital. My mom grow up in Oxford with her parents and siblings. She took the bus to Worcester and walked to Webster. She have also gone all the way to Southbridge and even to Connecticut. She married her high school boyfriend and lived in Webster for a while until he cheated on her and they divorced. My parents met and ythey got married in 1992. Had me in 1996. I have visited my grandparents in Oxford for holidays and birthdays. Then my Grandpa had to go to a nursing home in Millbury so we started visiting there. Then this pandemic hit and he gotten the virus. My grandpa died in April and since then my Grandma have been calling my mom almost everyday. She was probably lonely. My Uncle Kenny had moved to the Phillippeans earlier to marry his "child bride" we call her since she is as old as his daughter Kim. Then my Grandma had a stroke on Grandpa's birthday and went to rehab. Because of this we were forced to move to Oxford and give away a lot of our stuff so we can take care of Grandma when she comes home. (Whenever that may be. Still up in the air). I also worked at Market Basket there and been working there for 2 months as of today. Moving to Oxford means I'll be closer to work and won't have to wake up at 4:00 in the morning to go to work for 9. Of course on Mondays my parents are able to bring me to work because my dad doesn't work Mondays.
We been packing for 2 weeks. Today was the day. Last night was the last night in that apartment I grow up in. I remember last year, Josh had moved and it would have been nice to talk to him about what I had to go through but because of stuff that obviously didn't happen. I left for work when the got junk people came to get our junk. My dad drove me to work and my mom stayed home. I worked from 9-2 today and I let Sal know that I am moving here so I could work on Sundays if he schedule me to. He told me because Sundays are their bussie day he won't have me work on Sundays until I work on my speed. He also told me that I am getting better with that so that's good. I talked about moving to my other coworkers. Then my parents came to pick me up. I punched out and left. We stopped at the house first to get the mail then to our apartment in Worcester. It was chaos and my mom felt under pressure because of my Aunt. We didn't know what we were doing and my mom hated this. We took a break to have supper. My mom ordered pizza and because we didn't have furniture anymore, me and my mom sat on the two chairs we still had and my dad sat on the floor. We ate our pizza we gotten from Dominos and then continued to put stuff in the truck and car. Because my Aunt was texting my mom about being at the house now, she felt pressured. We made sure we brought what we need for tonight and tomorrow morning as well as my pop tarts for my break tomorrow and work clothes. There is still stuff we need to bring that are still at that apartment. We got to the house in Oxford and there was Cheryl. We put the stuff inside and gotten Shadow out of the carrier. Of course he hide underneath the bed. When Cheryl left we were able to relax. My parents did went back to the apartment to get some food that we didn't bring with us. We watched Dancing with the Stars and then the Good Doctor.
I am looking forward to walking to work tomorrow.
