Back in August when I went to Safe Homes I talked to the employment specialist Mike. He helped me to apply to the boys and girls club,  the YMCA, and the Webster Square Day Care Center. None of which I got. He then also said I should take classes at Quinisigamond community college to get a certificate in Early Childhood Education. I originally wanted to take a gap year and work to save money. I wasn't sure if I really want to go there. I texted my mom about it. When she picked me up and we went home she helped me to apply. We sent in my college degree but they also wanted my high school degree. We finally did but I couldn't get in to this semester. I met with an adviser to talk about it. I gotten a letter from them back in September with my information.

The day for new students to registered was last week on November 19th. I took the bus to QCC. There's a bus stop  on the campus so it took me straight there. I went into the Harrington Learning Building and sign in then went into the waiting area for an hour and a half. I wish I had a book with me but luckily I met a new friend and I was talking to her. When I was called I picked up my stuff and went with her to her computer. I didn't bring my official transcript from Salem State so we tried to go into my navigator to look for it. We had a problem with it and I went home. I found my official transcript and my mom got out of work and picked me up. We went back to QCC and had to wait in the waiting area again. We were probably waiting for an hour. Then finally one of the advisers Patrick came and got us. We went to his office and we talked. We showed him my transcript but I guess it's not a "official" transcript since it been open so we had to send for another one. That's okay though he was still able to register me. I looked at my class choices for each class and choose the first one. I'm only going to take 3 classes.

When we got home we sent for the transcript and gotten it Friday. We didn't open it this time. My mom was also able to log into my school's email and I was able to look at the classes I am going to take. Class start on January 22. I am taking Intro to Early Childhood Education Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12-12:50pm. Growth and Development/Young Child on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:45pm. And Family issues and Dynamics on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11-11:50am. I'm excited for these classes.

Yesterday my mom drop me off at QCC. She had to go to a doctor's appointment. I gave my Official transcript to admissions and they gave it to registration. I had also left my panda hat last week and I gotten it back. I took the bus and went back home. I also gotten the QCC mobile app and they have my class schedule and the bus schedule as well as stuff about tutoring and helping to find a job or internship. This is really cool. I looked at the course search and saw that they have a lot of American Sign Language classes. I knew they do offer it but didn't think of it when I was registering. I can't sign up for it this semester but I hope I can for my second semester. I don't know how this is going to effect me going back to Salem State for graduate school since I wanted to go back next yar and had already applied back in October. Didn't get accepted yet. I probably won't hear about it until the end of the school year so I am a little nervous about how this will work out. I asked Josh that "Will we no matter what work it out together?" He nodded with his cute smile so I hope we can. I still can't believe I'm doing this.
