~EMILY'S POV~
"Two-headed dog."
"Uhh. No. That's a bulldog with a huge-ass tail."
"Wh-"
Chandler did a little "toodle" with his fingers towards me and I instantly gasped. I slowly distanced myself away from him and faced the other way around. What the hell was he doing here? I was always so scared and afraid around him. I cursed under my breath as he took his seat on the bench. He scooted his way back around and smiled. Well this was a surprise. I had never actually saw him smile before. He said to me.
"You don't need to be afraid of me."
"What are you doing here?"
"Is that important? What are you doing here? After all, you're Harry Styles girlfriend after all."
He did a little "quote" around Harry's name in the air.
"Well.. Can't a girl get some alone time?"
"True, but you look depressed and it shows on your forehead."
"Can you just leave me alone if I say that it's just that time of the month for me?"
"Look. I'm sorry for the way I've acted to you before. I regret it a lot. And just for your information, I'm totally over you now. I mean- nobody rejects me. I'm Chandler."
"Okay. Don't be too full of yourself and glad to know."
"You know.. We could still be friends. There's nothing wrong with that."
"Yeah.. I suppose.."
"So what is supposedly troubling you my friend?"
"Nothing."
"Already starting off our friendship with lies I see. I'm a great listener."
Was this what people talking about when someone apparently "has turned a new leaf?" Because this was a whole new different side of Chandler. He wasn't that tough, and bossy guy anymore. For the first time, he seemed to have feelings as a human being. He had a humorous part to him and maybe I was wrong about him. He had changed- or maybe I had never known the real him.
"It's complicated."
"Lemme guess. Being Harry Styles's girlfriend is hard due to the amount of hate and torture from some particular fans?
"How.. How did you know?"
"Isn't it so obvious? Wasn't this expected already Emily?"
"I expected it.. But I didn't think that it would be this bad. I can't go outside now without being attacked by a group of fans. Can you believe that?"
"Not everyone's gonna like you. But hey- on the bright side, there's more people that love you than hate you."
Wow. I never thought that I would actually be telling someone- especially Chandler, my problems. I was surprised when he tried to cheer me up. He was a great listener and gave great advice. I guess I was wrong about him by a lot. He had a soft side to him- instead of putting up the "tough" guy act. I had almost forgotten what had happened earlier in the day. He joked around and we actually became friends. Time flew by as we talked for ours. The sun was now going down. Chandler made me smile by cracking some of the most cheesiest jokes and made me feel a whole lot better. They were still funny although they were cheesy. He had even lent me his jacket because I was getting cold.
"You know.. You're actually an okay guy. I was wrong about you- and I'm sorry."
"It's all good. It's basically my fault for acting like a jerk."
