~EMILY'S POV~

***few days later***

"It's finally here! How do I look?"

"You look gorgeous El. Too gorgeous."

It was finally here. Prom Night. The theme was "A Night to Remember." I zipped up Eleanor's long, sleek, ruby- colored dress up and she looked beautiful. Her hair was in curls which fell to her side and it was amazing how she could pull off that dress. I would look like a potato probably. I slowly stood up from my bed and examined myself over and over again in the mirror. I actually looked decent. Eleanor had done my hair by putting it in a pretty, loose bun. A few curls fell by the side of my face which I tucked behind my ears. Eleanor smiled at me as she touched up my make-up.

"You look absolutely amazing Em. Harry's gonna drop dead when he sees you."

"Thanks.. I just feel and look a bit awkward..?"

"No. You look stunning. I'll be downstairs. Hurry!"

Eleanor closed the door behind her and I could hear her heels down the stairs. I grabbed my mini handbag off of my bed and calmed down my nerves. There was about an hour left until I was going to meet Harry at the dance. Now, I know that your "date-is-suppose-to-escort-you" but Harry was busy at an important lunch meeting with Simon. He apologized over and over again for not escorting me or whatever but I didn't really care. It wasn't like a life or death situation whether your date brought a limo or perhaps a pick-up truck. I smoothed out my dress one more time and smiled at myself in the mirror. There were butterflies in my stomach and I felt like I was going to puke.

"Okay.. You got this Em. You totally got it. You look pretty.. Just smile."

I sighed out loud and slipped on my heels. I looked awkward in heels and worried about whether I was going to trip or not. I debated for a long period of time whether to wear heels or flats but Perrie forced me into heels so I had no choice. She had taken away all my formal flats and hid them somewhere around the house. I stood up- wobbly from the bed while clutching onto the rail as support and headed downstairs. It was official. I hated high heels. I decided to stick to sneakers and flats from now on.

"We're here Em! Look!"

Eleanor shook my shoulder and pointed outside the window. You could see the students in beautiful gowns and dresses as they headed their way towards the auditorium. I rolled my eyes as I spotted some couples already making out in the parking lot. Some were even getting it down and dirty. Like seriously? PDA! It was just gross. I have to admit- it was a bit lonely not having Harry here. Although I wasn't much more of a "Prom" person, it still would've been nice to receive a corsage from your date. I just shrugged my shoulders and continued to enjoy the fresh air on my face.

"Ahhhh! I'm so excited Em!"

"Me too.."

I waved goodbye to Eleanor as we decided to split up for the time being. She reminded me not to slouch, smile and a whole bunch of other stuff before walking off to the dance floor. I just stood off to the side while drinking fruit punch. It had a very peculiar taste to it. The auditorium was loud and noisy. I could barely hear anything because it was booming with people. You could see people grinding each other, dancing, making out, and a whole lot more. The DJ mixed up some fun beats while putting on some of the hit songs these days. As I stood off to the side patiently waiting for Harry, a few guys hit on me. They tried to ask me to dance and usher me out onto the dance floor but I refused several times.

"Uhmm.. No thanks. I already have a date."

I politely refused the boy in the dashing tux. He had a buzz cut with streaks of blond in his brunette hair. I smiled apologetically as I nodded my head. He had been about the 5th boy of the night. He walked away with a look of disappointment on his face. I kind of felt bad for him but I already had a date, Harry. Speaking of Harry, he was kind of late. He didn't call or leave any messages about him being late. Harry was suppose to show up about an hour ago but there wasn't any sign of him. I looked out for him in case he was lost in the crowd but I had no luck. I just thought to myself.
