~EMILY'S POV~
"EMILYYYYY!!"
I heard my mom shouting from a distance down the stairs. Her loud voice boomed through the hallways making me jump a little bit. My hair was in a messy bun and bobby pins were sticking out of it from every direction. I had a grey tank-top on with pajama pants that had cupcakes on them. I also had my bunny slippers and I looked absolutely horrible. It was dark outside and pretty cold.
"Great. The neighbors are here. Oh well."
I decided to ignore my mom and go down right after I finished doing what I started. Actually, I've been trying to put a new gauze over the used one but I was too scared to see what was under there. I hated blood. I couldn't stand it. I sat on my bed with a mirror and Maxy right next to me. He was looking at me curiously and I petted him.
"Oh god. Oh god. Okay. 1. 2. 3. Wa- I can't do this!"
I sat on the bed trying to work up the courage to lift off the gauze. It was stained with the color of deep red and I was repulsed by the thought of it. I slowly started lifting it off my forehead and I groaned. I cringed my face and sighed. I couldn't do it. There was just no way I could do it. I was ready to just shoot myself already. I dug my fingers into my hair and started messing it up groaning. I knew I would probably faint at the sight of blood but it was literally stained. I calmed myself down and sat in front of the mirror again when the door opened-
"Oh great! Mom! I need help with this. I can't look at blood. Can you help me mom?"
I slightly opened my mouth and closed half of my eyes while sitting in front of the mirror. I was trying to see and look if it was going to leave a scar or if I needed stitches. Did I forget to mention that I also hated needles too? I was still waiting for my mom's respond when nobody answered.
"Mom?"
I turned around wondering why she wouldn't answer when I gasped. I dropped the tube of ointment from my hands and it clattered onto the ground. I slowly got up to my feet and my eye grew large.
"Hey mo- HUH. HAR- HARRY?! Wha- What are you- Why are you? CR- SH. Umm.."
It was Harry- standing in the doorway looking at me. He had basketball shorts on with a blue hoodie. His hands were in his hoodie pocket just staring at me. Did he just hear the things I had just said? That would he plain embarrassing. I quickly looked at myself and bit the bottom of my lip. His lips started making out words
"Oh.. Sorry.. Didn't mean to scare you. Yo- your mum said you'd be here. And. Yeah."
He was scratching the back of his head and I didn't know what to do. I just stood there and it was really awkward. Too awkward. I finally came to my senses and welcomed him in. I kicked away the mess under the bed and Maxy was next to me growling. He didn't know Harry and I was petting his head saying
"Shhhh.. It's okay Maxy. C'mere."
Harry strolled in through the door and closed it behind him. He was looking around and chuckled when my bunny slippers squeaked. I shyly kicked off the slippers off to the side and Harry chuckled. I quickly went back to my bed and pushed the medical things aside. I picked up the tube that dropped and didn't know what to do with it. I was about to shove it into a drawer when Harry did something unexpected. He was staring at the pads of gauzes and the disinfectant when he grabbed ahold of my wrist and pulled me to my bed. He sat me down and started unlocking the First-Aid Kit Box. He had a serious face on and took the medicine from my hands.
"Oh- no. It's fine. I- I could do it by myself."
He gave me a disapproving look and I kind of pulled back. I scooted a little away from him and he just scooted right in front of me.
