Aastha stood by the balcony of her room at Shakti Mahal and watched as the decoration work around Prem Mahal was carried out in full force. There were only five days left before the grand inauguration of Prem Mahal Heritage Hotel, her family had left no stone unturned in making the celebration one of India's most awaited events. With constant media coverage, royal families flying in from all over India and a few from abroad, the inauguration had already turned into viral news in the last couple of days.
"Do you need anything else, Rajkumari sa?" Meenu, the maid spoke startling Aastha who had been staring out in the space. Turning around, Aastha relaxed her erratic nerves and adjusted the shawl that she had wrapped herself. Aastha wasn't used to the night chills of Rajasthan yet. For a moment, she wondered if she should change into something warmer.
Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she found the maid still waiting for the orders. Sighing, Aastha approached the young maid. "No... I wanted to take a stroll in the garden.. If Suraj bhai sa comes, inform him of my whereabouts."
The maid looked at her in perplexion, "But, Rajkumari sa, I have been asked to ensure that you rest in your room. Badi Rani sa, gave strict orders."
Aastha rolled her eyes. Earlier when she had regained the consciousness, she had realized her whole family were neglecting their duties to stay close to her. It was a huge task to convince everyone to carry on with their work. The count down for Prem Mahal's inauguration had begun and Aastha knew, the guests were slowly arriving and her family had responsibilities to adhere to. The last thing she wanted was to be treated like a patient. She was fine now.
"She also asked you to make sure you give me anything I want, didn't she?"
"Yes, Rajkumari sa, anything you want. Please state your wish!"
"I wish to see the garden," Aastha said, trying her best to sound authoritative. The maid looked torn for a moment and finally resigned to what was asked.

Despite walking through the huge gardens and relishing the fresh air, Aastha continued to feel suffocated. She needed to do something to bring her out of whatever she was feeling.
She refused to recall what had happened last night. Aastha intentionally blocked everything and it was taking a toll on her mind. She knew, that if she continued with her current state, it was only a matter of time, she would reach out to her diary and start writing down whatever she remembered. For some reason, her whole body was a frightened mess at that thought.
She needed a break and fast!
At a distance, Aastha heard the sound of the bike engine. She walked towards the gates following the sound and found Veer, parking his bike outside. A street dog had wandered towards the gate and security guards were having a hard time getting rid of it.
