"Has Tejas bhai sa not arrived yet?" Aastha asked, glancing around the brunch party. She had been expecting him and his family earlier in the day.

Saanvi looked up from her phone and replied, "Oh, I forgot to tell you—they'll be here later tonight. Their flight got rescheduled due to some technical glitch or something."

Aastha nodded, letting out a soft sigh. She was sitting with Harika, Saanvi, and a few cousins who were playfully teasing her. Veer had stepped away a while ago to catch up with an old friend who had just arrived.

Noticing that Veer wasn't around, Aastha sighed again. His presence always had a calming effect on her. She missed him more than she realized. There was also the matter of Rudragarh ki Rajkmuari, the letters, and the whole investigation on Rani. She wasn't upset that he hadn't told her sooner—she understood his reasons for keeping her in the dark. But now that she knew, she wanted to discuss it with him and understand the details that she may have missed.

That's when she remembered—Gagandeep sir hadn't gotten back to her. Curious, Aastha pulled out her phone, checking for any messages or calls from him.

Just as she was scrolling, the lights in the room dimmed, and the soft music playing in the background faded. A spotlight shone down onto the central courtyard. Aastha felt a hand on her right and turned to see Veer beside her. She smiled as he sat next to her.

"Seems like you missed me a lot..." he teased.

Aastha shrugged, trying to act indifferent. "Not even a bit."

Veer raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Ah, that's why your eyes were darting around looking for the most handsome prince charming?"

Aastha wanted to argue but couldn't help smiling. Veer had that effect on her. She giggled softly, watching as he looked at her with admiration, his charm evident.

"Dear Aastha and Veer..." Karan's voice cut through, bringing everyone's attention to the center.

"A small token of gift for you both," Saanvi and Harika said in unison, standing next to Karan. The three of them stood in the middle of the courtyard with an air of anticipation, as if they were about to reveal something special. Aastha was surprised—when had they disappeared from their table?

"Did you plan something?" Aastha whispered to Veer, her curiosity piqued.

He squeezed her hand gently, leaning in close to whisper in her ear. "Isn't it clear they planned something for us? And I have no idea, but I'm loving every moment of this." He pressed a soft kiss to her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. As she turned to face him, their faces were so close she could feel his breath. Even in the dim lighting, his eyes shone with sincerity, full of love and tenderness.

Aastha's heart fluttered in her chest. His words, his unwavering affection, and all he had done for her overwhelmed her. She gently cupped his face, her thumb brushing his cheek.
