Vedavyas Shastri Ashram

Hearing what the Aghori baba had to say shook Vedavyas to his core. He had sensed that the presence of God was masked in Rudragarh, but the extent of what the Aghori described was beyond his worst fears. A chill ran down his spine, and with it, a surge of anger that he usually kept in check.

"This is not good," Vedavyas muttered.

"I know," the Aghori replied calmly. "That's why I'm preparing to perform a mahayajna. We need to break the astadigbandanas. Once Lord Rudra's idol is restored, seeking his help to destroy the evil lurking there shouldn't be a hard task."

As the Aghori baba explained the ritual in detail, Vedavyas stared at him, shocked. "That ritual could kill you!"

The Aghori gave a small smile. "If it brings me closer to my Lord Rudra, then that's a worthy sacrifice."

"No, baba. It's too dangerous," Vedavyas insisted.

But the Aghori only chuckled. "I wasn't asking for permission. I was informing you."

"Baba—"

"When I came here, my only goal was to free Rudra. But after learning more about the curse on Roopgarh's royals, this path became clear. I'll set the gods free, and you must ensure the evil is destroyed. We both have work to do, Shastri, and no time to waste. We need to get started now!"

The Aghori turned and moved toward the window, pausing to look outside. Vedavyas was lost in thought, weighing the risks. He noticed the Aghori's gaze fall on Vaishali, who stood talking to a few of his disciples.

"There's something about her," the Aghori murmured. "Something I can't quite put my finger on."

Vedavyas followed his gaze. "What do you mean?"

"There's a void in her," the Aghori replied, his brow furrowing. "She has a divine gift. She can sense spirits, and communicate with the other side... But there's more - an unfulfilled purpose deep within, maybe."

Vedavyas frowned. "A void? What are you saying?"

"She's been blessed, but something's missing. Her destiny is incomplete," the Aghori said.

Vedavyas looked at Vaishali with concern. He had known her since she was a child. When he had seen her horoscope, Vedavyas recognized that she would play a key role in the redemption of Roopgarh's cursed lineage. The fact that the royal family had embraced her as their own had only strengthened that belief. But recently, something had shifted in her astrological signs. Even he couldn't explain it. But whatever it was, it wasn't bad. He hoped it wasn't a tragedy either.

"She must be protected," the Aghori said, his voice firm. Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked away.
