"Suraj!" Gouri Devi sighed in relief as she saw her grandson arrive, with Veer trailing behind him. Greeting Suraj, she noticed Veer looked exhausted and agitated.

"How is she?" Veer asked, his voice strained. Meethali broke into tears, and Veer hugged her. "Calm down, Aunty."

"Why my daughter, Veer? Why my daughter, all the damn time?" Meethali sobbed. "I'm so tired, Veer. I'm tired of seeing her hurt and suffering. I just want God to stop testing her and give her a normal life."

"She will be fine, Bhaabhi sa," Kanika consoled her. Veer took a deep breath and glanced at the closed door of the room where Aastha was being treated.

Gouri Devi embraced Veer. "Hope for the best, Veer."

"How did this happen?" he asked, his voice trembling. "When I came back from the hospital, Aastha was nowhere to be found. Then suddenly, she was discovered unconscious in the basement of an unused cottage on the resort campus! What's happening?" Veer was too shaken to react properly.

When he arrived at the place of the incident, Aastha had already been taken away. The entire incident had sparked something within him. Fear, anger, and pain overpowered and he had stayed back, in that very place, staring at nothing but a burned coffin.

When Suraj returned to the scene with the cops, they found Veer in the basement where the incident occurred. He was sitting on the ground, looking lost. When the cops asked what he was doing there, Veer didn't respond. Suraj realized Veer was deeply disturbed and brought him along to see Aastha, as that was the only thing Veer kept saying—he wanted to see Aastha.

"Aastha is awake," the doctor informed the family. "You can see her once we shift her to the room."

The family along with Veer waited patiently for Aastha to be moved. Once she was settled, the doctor advised, "Before you see her, please remember she went through a lot of trauma. She is a bit confused and disoriented. Be gentle with her, okay?"

The family agreed, and Vaishali began asking about Aastha's condition. The doctor explained that Aastha had been suffocated which caused her to lose consciousness but didn't incur any burns thanks to her thick saree. She needed a lot of love and care now, as the experience had been traumatic both physically and mentally.

Veer was the first to enter the room. The moment Aastha saw him, she glared furiously. Memories flooded back, along with intense hatred. She grabbed a tray from the side table and threw it at Veer. Though he ducked, it hit him on the head, causing a small wound to bleed.

Hearing the commotion, the rest of the family rushed in. Aastha glared at them all. "HE TRIED TO KILL ME! GET HIM AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed.

Everyone stared at Veer in shock. "Aastha! I would never..." Veer began, but she threw another tray at him. Suraj quickly pulled Veer aside, away from Aastha's line of attack and approached Aastha.
