Because you've met someone who

Doesn't have the courage to handle you.'

Reaching her final Fight of the night Sofia felt like she got hit by a truck, but she didn't stop. Hearing the final bell she stepped back taking deep breaths and watching the unconscious girl laying on the floor filled with a mixture of her blood and Sofia's.

Stepping off the slightly raised floor Steven grabbed his sister trapping her in his tight grip "Fuck, you destroyed them, Mia!" Steven congratulated, releasing his sister. "Don't call me that Steven!" Sofia hated her middle name which Steven adored of course.

Receiving the money Sofia said goodbye to Alex and slowly made her way to the car, ignoring her brother rambling on and on about her victory. "Sis I've got a race right now but if you're not up for it I can take you home, we have time".

"And miss the chance to see my brother race, no way let's go" Sofia would much rather go home to sleep but she meant it when she told her brother he would always have her support in everything he did.

She couldn't be selfish, he watched her fight she watches him race.

Looking at the time Sofia opened her window enjoying the cold air 2 a.m. provided her with, listening to the roaring of engines nearby.

Stopping at the spot Sofia sat in the car letting her brother greet his friends while she unwrapped her hands, flexing her bloody knuckles.

After an hour the race finally started and the starting line filled with all kinds of cars, in front stood the all-famous girl in bootie shorts a sad excuse for a crop top, and a red flag starting the countdown.

At the dropping flag, the car sped off pushing her back into the seat waking her up from the wonderful thoughts she was having. Speeding past a few cars Steven took first place screaming out in joy, giving Sofia the chance to admire her brother's happy mood.

A ghost smile grazed Sofia's lips at the sight and she enjoyed herself.

Winning yet again Steven drove home needing a few hours of sleep before going to school.

*Triggering warning*

Relaxing in the warm water that's surrounding her body, Sofia's thoughts darkened the more she thinks. Remembering all the words people used to describe or taunt her with over the years her mind desperately searched for a way out.

Slut...

Whore...

Useless daughter...

You're not worthy of, love that's why they left Sofia...

Because of you, Steven will never become anything...

Just die already...

Closing her eyes she tried shutting the voices out telling her she should just give up. Life would be better with her gone but holding on to the tiny piece of hope Sofia had she stood up and wrapped the towel around her body needing a cigarette before she tried going to sleep.

Finally being able to see the stars Sofia sat on the window frame searching for the brightest one. She used to do star watching with her father and the one who could find the brightest star first, wins ice cream, winner's choice of course, but only when he was in a good mood.

Inhaling the smoke Sofia mumbled a quick "Maybe, I am the problem" before she closed the window and went to sleep dreading, waking up in a few hours.
