1. One last cigarette

Chapter 13: Her

"Noah let go...What happened to you?" Sofia asked examining the bandages wrapped around Noah's arms. "What no how does the other guy look" she smirked still trapped in Noah's hold.

Chuckling at her Noah glanced at her neck letting out a growl and lifting her chin so he could inspect the purple bruise that was forming. Silently asking her what happened Alex took the opportunity to slip away but Sofia stopped him before he could.

"Not so fast you want to take away my fights, I'm cockblocking you. No more one-night stands with my employees" Sofia stated without removing her eyes from Noah. Trying to argue Noah stopped Alex with his raised hand.

"Care to explain who left that" Noah pointed to her neck.

"It's not important leave it princess" Sofia winked slipping away from his hold and went back to the room to grab her cigarettes to go smoke outside.

Knowing Noah was following her Sofia kept on walking and sat down on the ground in the garden while lighting her cigarette for the second time. Taking a big pull and filling her lungs with the poison she's addicted to Sofia groaned when the cigarette was swept away from her again. "That'll kill you so no more smoking while you're at my house, now speak" Noah calmly said putting out the cigarette on the ground.

Shaking her head Sofia pulled out another and lit it daring Noah to do it again "You're not my dad so fuck off and it was just a guy overstepping and besides it was taken care of".

Pulling out his phone Noah sent a message to one of his men and grabbed the cigarette packed from Sofia and walked to her room knowing there was probably more than one packet. Rushing after him trying to get Noah to stop Sofia jumped on his back trying to take him down with her cigarette still in her mouth.

Grabbing her red bag Sofia told Noah to stop but he didn't listen and he turned the bag upside down on the bed. All the content fell out showcasing Sofia's collection of different drugs. She couldn't just leave her stash all alone at home they would think she abandoned them.

"What's this" Noah whispered picking up the pack of mixed pills.

"Noah don't" Alex warned from the door shaking his head. Grabbing everything Sofia stuffed it into the bag again throwing it under the bed. "You have no right to go through my things Noah I didn't ask to be here and I didn't ask you for your input on my bad habits" Sofia rushed out in one breath before walking out of the room needing to be alone.

Wondering around Sofia stumbled across their garage which was filled with expensive cars. Testing every door, she smiled when one of the doors opened. Opening the box Sofia connected two wires making the car roar. Proud of her accomplishment Sofia drove off speeding through the gates the guards refused to open. Connecting her phone Sofia turned the volume on high singing along to 'Hella O's by Wiz Khalifa'.

Not knowing where she was heading Sofia sped up not in the mood to think about anything.

Checking the time Sofia decided to go get Steven at school knowing he would love to go racing threw the city.

Stopping behind Stevens's car Sofia spotted him sitting at a bench with his friends and she refed the engine trying to get his attention. Rolling down her window Sofia whistled at Steven signaling him to come to her.

'Good little puppy'

'Funny but shut it inner me'

Saying bye to his friends Steven ran to his car answering the call from his sister.

"Nine blocks, catch me if you can" Sofia ended the call leaving tread marks when she pulled away speeding around the corners and seeing her brother catching up to her.

BACK AT THE HOUSE

"You knew about this?" Noah questioned Alex still staring at the door Sofia left through a few seconds ago. "I did but she's a grown woman Noah she'll ask for help if she needs it".

"She has a problem Alex she's not going to ask for help you know that!" Noah yelled disappointed at his brother for letting Sofia carry on using after he saw what happened to her. He knew what drugs did to a person and yet he left Sofia to carry on using.

"She's not her Noah she won't let it get to that point" Alex defended knowing what Noah was thinking.

"If you take them away she'll give in to the dark thoughts she has, I know her for six years Noah, and her mind is a dark place and those give her the escape she needs I know you saw her wrists and thighs so don't try forcing her to stop you'll turn her back into the depressed girl she was when I met her" Alex tried to reason.
