Everything around me moved in a slow pace, the flashing lights of other cars driving by kept me awake while I held Sofia's hand feeling her change the gears without letting go. She's been asking me if I'm okay every time I'd kiss the back of her hand and my answer would stay the same each time
"Why wouldn't I be your with me".
I felt like life was passing me by and all my worries were floating away with it. The sudden craving for a McFlurry took over my sense to get home and I asked the she devil to turn around so we could get some. "Noah sit still I'll be right back" Sofia's voice filled the car and a smile took over my face loving the heavenly sound.
Seeing her walk away I almost forgot how to breathe feeling the pressure on my chest.
After five failed attempts of opening the car door I finally succeed and I stumbled my way into the bright building marked with a yellow M.
"Fuck sake I only want ONE Mcflurry! How hard is it to understand" I heard Sofia yell not noticing me yet. "Mam our ice-cream machine isn't working at the moment please try another place" the employee spat back glaring at my baby.
Grabbing Sofia's hand before she could climb over the counter I gave her a sheepish smile hoping she'd calm down.
"Noah I told you to stay in the car".
"I'm a grown ass man babe and besides I missed you too much to stay in the car" I mumbled wrapping my arms around her shoulders, Sofia's scent invaded my nose filling the air with her cocoa butter scented shampoo.
Kissing her head I mumbled sweet nothings to her not caring about the people staring at us. "Your clingy when youre high arent you?" Sofia mumbled pulling away from my hold causing me to whine like a child whose ice-cream got taken away.
'Oh wait ice-cream sounds nice'
"Can we get some ice-cream?" I asked following the blond walking in front of me. "I'll drive to the other McDonalds okay" she breathed out seeming tired. I knew she would've taken the pill without a doubt if I hadn't walked in but she's been doing so well and I couldn't just sit back and watch her take the wrong path.
