Chapter 18

Althea was sitting in her lab and thinking of ideas to add on Clint's arrows and Natasha's weapons. "Ma'am maybe we should add a arrow that could shoot glitters." She heard Gary suggesting which made her let out a sigh.

"Gary, honey do you really want Clint to shoot you in the ass?" She sighed and asked Gary who let out a chuckle nervously. "No ma'am." He replied and sat on his chair. Althea spun her chair, facing Gary and gave him a smile.

"Then ,I suggest you give ideas that doesn't make us both dead." She said to Gary who nodded. She gathered all the arrows that she made and walked towards Gary who was reading about something. She dropped the arrows on his table which startled him.

"Gary I want you to test all this arrows in the training room which is on the fifth floor." Althea instructed Gary who nodded and handed him a bow. She made her way back and sat on her chair as she heard Gary leaving the room.

She let out a sigh and massaged her throbbing head. She's been working for Tony for a month now and she hasn't seen Steve or Sam for a month also. She missed him even though they talked every two days.

She didn't know what they were right now. They didn't talk about it. She didn't know if he was her boyfriend. They didn't really confirmed anything or tell each other where they stand in each others lives which confused her. She groaned loudly thinking of it all. She glanced at  the picture frame of Steve and her on her table. They were  sitting on their old apartments couch. His arm were around her shoulder and he was looking at her while she was smiling and looking at Natasha who was taking the picture.

She couldn't help but smile looking at the picture. She really missed him. Althea suddenly heard someone let out a scream. She quickly grabbed her dagger and gun and ran out of the lab to see Happy the head of security groaning in pain. She could see an arrow was embedded on his ass which made her groan knowing who was the cause of this.

She ran towards Happy and Gary who was apologizing. "You shot him in the ass!" Althea exclaimed to Gary and shot him a glare. "Happy are you okay?" She asked happy who was crouching on the floor groaning in pain. "Do I look okay to you?" Happy snapped at her. She understood his anger considering she was also part of the reason him being shot in the ass.

"One job Gary! I gave you one job!" She exclaimed toGary who had a guilty look on his face. "Am I running a fricking company or a bar? What's all this commotion about?" She heard Tony saying as he came out of his lab to see Happy bleeding out on the floor.

"What the hell did you do?" Tony asked as he saw Happy  who was still groaning in pain. "I accidentally shot Happy in the ass using one of Clint's arrow." Althea lied to Tony. She was a afraid that Tony would fire Gary. Despite being clumsy Gary is the best assistant she could ever ask for. He is also incredibly smart. Smarter than her.

Tony started laughing looking at Happy which pissed him off even more than he already. "Somebody help me!" Happy exclaimed clearly frustrated with all of this. "Help him Tony!" Althea snapped at Tony and crouched down. She took one of Happy's arm and draped it around ber shoulder, Tony did the same with the other.

"This Is the best day of my life." She heard Tony saying which made her roll her eyes knowing he is finding this situation amusing. "Shut it!" She snapped at Tony who rolled his eyes and helped Happy in to the elevator and towards the medical bay.

Althea waited outside of the medical bay room that Tony added to the new Avengers tower knowing they would need it after coming back from missions. She saw Gary running towards her which made her got up from her seat.

"Gary if I could kill you I will!" She yelled at Gary who had a guilty look on his face. She let out a sigh knowing he didn't do this on purpose. "Gary why did you shoot Happy?" Althea asked him. "I was excited to try the arrows." Gary replied honestly which made her let out a sigh.
