Althea walked out of Quinjet with Okoye. "Are you sure about this?" Okoye asked her again for the 20th time. She wasn't very sure about leaving Althea in a new country.
"I'll be fine. You needn't worry about me." She assured Okoye who let out a sigh. "I will always worry about you, little warrior." Okoye stated which made her smile. She hugged Okoye as tight as she could knowing this probably will be the last time she ever sees her.
"Thank you, Okoye. I owe you an unpayable debt." She said once she pulled away from her. "You do not owe me a thing, Ally." She said replied and handed her a bag which contained her things. Althea smiled one last time before walking away.
Tears glistened her eyes as she walked away from Okoye. She knew from now on she on her own again. Her fingers unconscious trailed up to the pendant of her chain. She missed him. Leaving him felt like leaving a part of her.
She walk further upon and noticed a small village she smiled but it faltered. She saw as a little girl fell and hit her head on a nearby rock. "Oh my god." She said in shock and quickly made her way towards her.
"Tumi ṭhika ācha?" (Are you okay?) She crouched down asked the little girl who was moaning in pain and clutching her head. Althea removed the girl's hand to see it was bleeding which made her gave the girl a pity look. "Ēṭā byāthā karē." (It hurts.) The girl replied sniffling.
"Tōmāra bābā mā ka'i?" (Where's your parents?) She asked and looked around hoping to spot the girls parent. The girl started sobbing which worried her alot. "Oh my god." She heard a voice saying which made her look away from the girl. She turned to see a man probably in his mid 30s with glasses and a scruff.
He walked towards her and crouched down beside her. He lifted the girl and examined the wound on her head. "Are you her parent?" The man asked her which made her shook her head no. She couldn't help but think she has seen this man before but just can't remember where.
"I found her this way. Is there a nearby hospital?" She asked the man who lifted the girl in his arms which made her shot him a confused look. "You can't do that. Her parents would search for her." Althea said as she trailed behind the man. "Hey, lady. If I leave her this way she's gonna bleed on the road. She need help now." He replied and quickened his pace which made her roll her eyes but still followed him.
She was skeptical of this man. Maybe he could be a kidnapper. She had to make sure the girl was save. So she followed him. He brought the little girl to some kind of house made of wood. "This isn't a hospital. Where have you brought her?" Althea asked the man, raising her hand. She was prepared to attack him. But the man ignored her as he laid the girl on the bed and quickly took his suitcase and opened it. It contained medical supplies.
"You're a healer." She stated as she realized. "Healer?" The man asked in confusion which made her realize they're called doctor's on earth. "I meant you're a doctor." She said and crouched down beside him and held the girl's hand who was still sobbing.
"Ēṭā ṭhika habē. Sē ēkajana ḍāktāra." (It'll be fine. He's a doctor) she assured the girl who threw her arms around Althea who was surprised by it. She looked towards the man who was still preparing the medical supplies he needed. "In order to heal her, I have to be able to reach her which I can't if you're holding her this way." She heard the man saying which made her roll her eyes at him and shot him an annoyed look.
She pulled away from the girl and stood up but the girl held her hand tight not letting her. "Āmākē chēṛē yē'ō nā." (Don't leave me)The girl said which made her look at the man who let out a sigh probably annoyed. "Cintā karabēna nā āmi karaba nā āmi ēkhānē thākaba." (don't worry. i wont. I'll be here.) She assured the girl and crouched down. she held her hand not letting her go.
