Althea didn't let go of Aanshi's hand till the man was finished treating her. She was distracting the little girl by asking her questions and answering some of hers. "I'm done." She heard the man saying which made her look up from Aanshi who wiped her tears away and sniffled.
"Aanshi Tumi ki jānō tōmāra bāṛi kōthāẏa?" (Do you know where your home is?) She asked the little girl who nodded her head and got down from the bed. She then took a hold of Althea's hand and guided her out of the house they were in.
Aanshi guided her to her house. On the way to her house, she could see people giving her confused glances and odd looks. The village looked beautiful under the street light. She couldn't help but admire the beauty of it.Aanshi walked up to a house and ran inside while she was standing awkwardly outside.
"You're not from around here, are you?" She heard a familiar voice ask which made her turn to look it was the man who treated Aanshi. "Did you follow me here?" She asked him as she took a step threateningly towards him. "I couldn't let the little girl leave with a stranger." He responded which made her roll her eyes.
A man and a women emerged from the wooden house. She assumed it was Aanshi's parents. "Tōmākē anēka dhan'yabāda." (Thank you so much) Aanshi's mother said and held her hand. She just smiled as response before walking away. She could hear footsteps which made her look to see the man was behind her.
"Who are you?" He asked her curiously and took a couple of steps towards her. "I'm Althea." She introduced herself and extended her hand. "Bruce Banner." He shook her hand and it clicked on her mind. She realized who he was. She watched the video of him turning to a big green guy. He was exposed to too much gamma radiation which should've killed him instead he got an alter ego.
"You know who I am, don't you?" He asked. "Yes, I do doctor. It was hard to miss considering you broke half of Harlem." She said which made him smile. "You're the first person I met that doesn't walk on egg shells around me." He stated which made her let out a chuckle.
"I'm not afraid of you Mr Banner." She stated which perked up his curiosity. "Why is that?" He asked her. "I know a monster when I see one and you're not a monster."
Althea was seated in a cafe with her tablet in her hand. She wanted to get some alone time after living in a place that is filled with people all the time. She was still incredibly pissed at Peter and didn't even give him a chance to explain. She was pissed at the stunt he pulled and the trouble he's in for ditching the decathlon.
She took a sip of her coffee when suddenly she could feel someone standing opposite of her. She looked up to see it was Peter which made her let out a sigh before returning her attention back to her tablet. She was creating a pop quiz for the students to do on Monday.
"Please let me just explain, Miss Althea." She heard Peter pleading which made her look up. She stared at him for a good minute and gave in knowing he's just a kid and everyone makes mistakes. "Fine! You have 3 minutes!" She said put her tablet on the table and gave him her full attention.
Her eyes widened as she heard his explanation. She pinched the bridge of her nose feeling incredibly pissed than she already was. "Peter, why didn't you call me?" She asked him. "I knew you wouldn't let me do this on my own. So I—" He trailed off which made her let out a sigh.
"You do realize you could've gotten seriously hurt right?" She asked him. He nodded his head and looked away. "Are you still—" he started but stopped himself as a waitress came to their table. "Need a refill?" The waitress asked Althea with a smile. "Yes, please. Thank you." She replied to the waitress who nodded her head before pouring the coffee on to her mug.
