Chapter 54

Althea walked out of her Quinjet with a sick looking Gary behind her. She was the one who flew the Quinjet and needless to say Gary was afraid for his life because it was just her second time doing this. She do admit that she did flew the Quinjet more reckless than she would've normally done. But one couldn't really blame her with Gary's annoying voice ringing through her ears.

"Your highness." She greeted T'Challa who had also just landed and walked out of his jet with Okoye and Nakia by his side. "Who the hell said Wakandans were poor?" Gary asked out loud as he looked around in awe which amused her alot.

"Althea, you came." He stated once he saw her. "I promised." She responded which made him smile before walking towards her and pulling her in to a hug. She returned the gesture. "How have you been?" She asked him once she pulled away. "I'm fine. How about you? Wakanda welcome's you Mr Green." T'Challa greeted Gary who was still looking around awe.

"Your highness." He bowed which made her let out a chuckle. "We don't do that here." He stated which made Gary smile nervously. "I've been fine." She replied to him and turned to Okoye and Nakia. "Hey Okoye." She greeted her and walked past T'Challa. She hugged her. "It's good to see you." Okoye said once they pulled away. She nodded at her and smiled as response.

"Nakia." She greeted with a smile. "Althea." Nakia greeted her back quite suprised of her greeting her seeing as they never really interacted when she was in Wakanda.

Althea turned away from them and walked behind T'Challa as she saw Queen Ramona and Shuri was waiting to greet T'Challa. She smiled at Shuri who grinned at her. "Gary!" She called Gary who was frozen to the ground. "Sorry. " Gary quickly apologized and walked beside her.

"Queen mother. Princess. A comfort for your loss." Nakia greeted them with a sympathetic look. "Thank you, Nakia. It is so good to have you back with us." Queen Ramona responded. "Take her to the River province to prepare her for the ceremony." Okoye instructed one of Dora Milaje who nodded and brought Nakia away.

"Did he freeze?" Shuri asked out loud once Nakia was out of earshot which made her let out a chuckle. T'Challa shot her glare which she ignored. "Like an antelope in headlights." Okoye responded which made her stifle a laugh. "You never change, do you?" She asked him out loud, he rolled his eyes.

"Are you both finished?" T'Challa asked clearly annoyed which made Okoye laugh and knock her spear on the ground twice and left with rest of the Dora Milaje. "It's good to see you again, my dear." Queen Ramona greeted her. "It's good to see you too, your highness." She said and smiled at her.

Shuri didn't wait a moment before hugging Althea as tight as she could. She had to take a step back with the sudden weight of her. She let out a chuckle and hugged her just as tight as she could. "You're gonna crush her bone." T'Challa commented upon noticing how tight Shuri was holding her. Shuri rolled her eyes before pulling away from T'Challa. "Your highness, princess." Gary awkwardly greeted them which amused T'Challa and Althea who shared a look.

"So surprised my little sister came to see me off before our big day." T'Challa said to Shuri who smirked. "You wish. I'm here for the EMP beads. I've developed an update." Shuri said extended her hand. "Update? No. It worked perfectly." T'Challa stated which Shuri roll her eyes.

"How many times do I have to teach you? Just because something works doesn't mean that it cannot be improved. Would you tell him?" Shuri suddenly turned and said to Althea who raised her hand. "I prefer to stay out of this." She stated which made Shuri roll her eyes while T'Challa shot her an s noted look. "That is certainly a good choice." Queen Ramona added which made her let out a chuckle.

"You're teaching me? What do you know?" T'Challa asked clearly annoyed by his sister and handed her the beads. "More than you." Shuri responded. "Are you coming?" Shuri asked her. She nodded her head. "Queen Mother, your highness." She nodded at them before pulling Gary by the arm and walking away with Shuri.
