Chapter 48

Althea woke up to an unfamiliar room which confused her. She jolted awake as memories of what happened before she lost conscious flooded through her. She looked around her to see Steve sleeping on a couch which made her smile. She look to her left to see Sam sprawled down on the floor while Bucky was sitting on the floor and leaning against the wall. He was the only one awake.

"I take it as everything went well." She said to Bucky who smiled at her. "Far from it." He responded which made her frown. "What happened?" She asked even though she wasn't really sure she wanted the answer. "I think it's best if Steve tells you." He replied which made her shot him an annoyed look.

"Bucky?" She asked again. This time in a serious tone which made the ex soldier let out a sigh before explaining what had happened. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she heard what he had said. She felt incredibly pissed off at Steve for hiding this from Tony. Seeing as if he had told this earlier, they could've avoided all of this.

She didn't say a word as she stood up from the bed and walked out. "Thea, where are you going?" Bucky asked as he followed her. "Somewhere! Don't follow me!" She warned him before walking away. He let out a sigh, regretting what he had told her.

Althea realized she was in Wakanda once she walked out of the room. She lifted her grey t-shirt to see there wasn't even a scar left. She made her way to a place where she always went when she feels down. She smiled as she walked through the familiar gardens.

She sat on the grass opposite of a beautiful lake. She often came here with T'Challa when they were together. It was their secret sport. Every night they'd come here and leave before dawn. She smiled as she reminisced the memories that happened here.

"When the captain said you left, I knew I could find you here." She heard a voice saying which made her let out a sigh. "Yeah, I'm not really his biggest fan right about now." She muttered as she stood up and dusted the grass off her.

"Why is that?" T'Challa asked her curiously as he came to a stop beside her. "Well, he hid from Tony that his brainwashed version of his best friend went all winter soldier on his parents. Then, he proceeded to beat my best friend to a pulp. Then, to top it all off I m a freaking fugitive!" She exclaimed feeling incredibly frustrated which made T'Challa let out a chuckle looking incredibly amused.

"Oh, this amuses you?" She asked him clearly annoyed. She raised her hand and channeled the water in the lake and pushed it against him. He look at her in disbelief as he was drenched. "You better start running!" He warned which made Althea giggle as she ran as fast as she could from him.

She shrieked as he caught her waist. "I'm sorry, okay. I clearly didn't think this through!" She pleaded as he dragged her towards the lake. She squeezed her eyes shut as he threw her in.

She stood up in the water, soaked in water. She looked towards T'Challa who was laughing. She shot him a glare before trying to walk but she slipped and fell again. "I've never had this fun in ages." She heard him say as he laughed again after seeing her fall on her face.

She shot him an annoyed look before walking out of the lake. He tried to help her but she shot him a glare feeling incredibly pissed at him for laughing instead of helping her. "Ally, come on. Now you're mad. You started this first." She heard him say as he followed a soaked Althea back to the castle.

"Where are you going, Ally?" He asked her as he walked beside her. "Somewhere far away from you." She shot at him. "Atleast let me get you a towel." He said but she ignored him and walked in. "Ally, I'm sorry." He caught her arm and apologized which made her let out a sigh.

"Fine!" She agreed but still had a frown on her face which amused him alot. She followed him to his room and entered it as he opened the door. She looked around the room to see it was just the same it was when she was last here. "This place didn't even a change a bit." She said as she looked around.
