"yes ma'am. I'll talk to you soon L...uh night Ash" I stumble slightly but catch myself before I could give anything away. she smiles back to me, "night, talk to you soon" she says and blows me a kiss. I playfully catch is and hold it to my chest causing us to laugh. we say goodbye again and hang up. I sigh and smile as I put my phone on the charger and lay down. I turn off the lamp and get comfortable, then drift off to a peaceful sleep.

POV JJ

The next couple days went by quickly. I went to work and came back. I had lunch with Lizzie and I went over to MK's to help Lucy with her song. It's now Friday, the day of the talent show and I was on my way to MK's to meet up with everyone so we can got together. Then we are getting dinner afterwards. I just pulled up and parked my car. I hopped out and made my way to the front door knocking I waited for someone to answer. "Hello JJ!" MK says after opening the door and then giving me a hug. "hey, everyone here?" I ask as I walk in after her and shut the door. "Yup, we are getting ready to leave" she says as we walk into the living room, "JJ! You made it!" Lizzie says excitedly as she rushes up to hug me. I laugh at her antics. "You do know I find it ridiculous that you greet me like this all the time, right?" I ask her teasingly she just smiles big at me. "Hey Jen" Scarlett greets and give me a hug. "hey, where's the trouble makers?" I ask looking for the kids. "There around. Probably out back, we should probably get them and get going" Brandon says as me walks into the room with a bag. "Hey JJ" he greets with a smile. I smile and wave at him. "Ok so we are all going to meet at the school and then go to dinner at Jack's Pizza. That ok?" MK asks. "Sounds good. I'll go grab the children" I says and head out to the backyard. I've been to MK's a couple times but I'm good at scooping a place out and getting the lay of the land the first time. So I know where I'm going, kinda. I get to the sliding door and head in the backyard. "Come on guys, time to go" I call out and they look at me and come running over. "Auntie JJ!" Rose yells as she reaches me and throws herself at me. "Hey Jenny!" Lucy says and hugs me after Rose let's go. "Are you ready to knock the whole schools socks off?" I ask Lucy, "Yes!" She squeals and they run inside. I chuckle and follow them in. "Ok lets go" MK says and we all head out to our cars. "I'm going to ride with Jen" Lizzie says and kisses Scarlett and then gives Rose a kiss on the head. "Ok, see you both there" Scarlett says and gets Rose in the car. We both get into my car and I turn to Lizzie, "you didn't have to come with me. I'm capable of driving on my own" I say to her. She just smiles at me, "I know Jen, I just wanted some JJ and Lizzie time. We haven't had a lot of that." She says and I smile at her. "maybe we need to set aside a day a month too" I joke and she laughs but agrees easily. I pull out after everyone else does and follow them. "So how are you and Ashley? Everything ok?" She asks. "Ya we are great" I say but mull over wanting to talk to her about something. She seems to be able to read my mind and asks, "what is it? What's on your mind?" I chuckle and she looks at me with confusion. "I just...I have been wanted to say something to her but feel like it's not the right time." I say cryptically. "Ok..." She trails off waiting for more. I chew my lip, "I've chickened out a couple of times actually. I just don't want to....I don't know" I finish with a huff. "Hey, you can talk to me about anything. You know that right? Even if it's about my sister, because I'm on your team. I've been trying to hook you guys up for crist sakes!" She jokes and I laugh slightly. "Ya I know, I really appreciate it." I say glancing over at her. I take a breath and look at her again, she smiles encouragingly at me. "I...I almost told Ashley that I...um." I took a breath and sighted my grip on the steering wheel. "Hey, it's ok we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." Lizzie says softly. Why can't I just open up and say it!? I mean it's just Lizzie!? I take a breath and keep my eyes focused on the road, "I love her" I say and nervously bite my lip and refused to look at her. It was silent and I was about ready to pull the car over and jump out. Or just jump out while it was moving. I happens to be my lucky day because we just pulled into the parking lot. I park quickly and shut off the engine. "Uh, let's just forget about it. Lets go, don't want to be late." I say and get out quickly. Lizzie gets out and I lock the car and hurry over to Rose, Lucy and Tommy who just hopped out of the van. "Let's get you signed in" I say excitedly and usher the kids into the building.
