I hear a groan and look down. "Morgan? Hey it's ok" I say and the team comes over and helps me sit him up. "What happened?" He groans. "There was an explosion" I say and he jolts up but yelps. "Hey calm down you're ok" Hotch says. "No, no JJ was... She was right outside... No no no" he says not fully comprehending what just happened. I suck in a breath not trying to break down. "You need to help her! She needs help!" He yells and tries to get up but Rossi puts a hand on his shoulder. "You need to stay put the medics are on their way. We can't do anything until bomb squad gets here." He says and I close my eyes holding back tears. "They are 5 minutes out Garcia informed them" Hotch says. We just have to wait.

POV JJ

ugh why does my whole body feel like I was torn apart and put back together? Where am I? What is that noise? I think groggily as I try to wrap my head around what happened and where I was. It smells like alcohol and I feel something soft under me. I slowly open my eyes but that becomes harder then It should. My does if feel like my eyes are lifting weights? I manage to crack my eyes open and shut them right away as it's way to bright. I try again opening my eyes slowly as they adjust to the light. Blinking a few times I look around the room I'm in slowly. Hospital? What the hell happened? I go to sit up but I feel a sharp pain and let a groan out. "shit" I say and squeeze my eyes shut. Well that wasn't smart JJ. I scold myself and let the pain pass. When it does I open my eyes. Huh, no one's here. I observe and then look down at myself. "Fuck..." I mumble when I see half my body covered in bandages and my leg in a cast. "Fuck this" I groan and let my head drop back on the pillow. That was not smart as it made me groan in pain. I lift my good arm since apparently I broke my wrist too....great! I touch my head and feel a bandage on it. What the hell. Did I get blown up or something? I think and look around. I start to panic not knowing where the hell I am and why I'm here. I go to sit up and yelp in pain, it's too loud... Beeping is too loud I panic and all of a sudden people start to rush in and hover all over me. I panic more as they hold me down and go to inject me with something. "Agent Jareau please calm down you're going to hurt yourself more" one of the doctors? Nurse maybe? Says and I groan out in pain as I flinch away from them. "Please you can't go in there! Miss!" I hear and then I see Emily! She rushes over and puts her hand on my shoulder. "hey, hey hey JJ clam down ok. You're ok." She says softly and I start to calm myself. The doctors let me go and check a few things then leave. "If you need anything please hit the button." One says before he leaves. I turn my attention to Emily, "what happened Em? Why and I here... Where even are we?" I ask confused. Her face morphs into sadness and I tilt my head. "What do you remember?" She asks. I let myself relax into the bed and think...what do I remember? Washington! Why.... We had a case. " Are we still in Washington? We were on a case" I say and she nods. "ya, we are. The rest of the team will be here soon. Morgan just go out of the hospital yesterday and they wanted to get him home but he wanted to wait till you woke up" she says. Was he hurt? She must have saw the confusion on my face because she sits down on the edge of my bed next to me and grabs my hand gently that was in a cast. "Jennifer... He was shot in the leg. Remember, you guys were in a shootout with our unsub. He took you both. He had you for about a week." She says slowly. I furrow my brows and then my face falls as everything comes back. "The bomb... Is he ok?" I ask hurriedly. "Ya, he was in the hospital for a couple days but you did a good job and treating him. He'll make a full recovery." She says and I sigh in relief. "Is...is Micheal...?" I trail off and she shakes her head. "Oh... Ok" I say quietly. "How are you doing?" She asks. "well, I feel like I've been blown up" I say dryly and she laughs. "Ya, um... I called Ashley" she said and I sit up straight causing me to groan. She grabs my shoulders and pushes me back down gently. "Hey your ok." She says. "How long have I been here?" I ask. "It's been 5 days. When we found you... You were barley alive Jen." She sniffles and I grab her hand with my good one. "You crashed in transit. You...you died. Um, they stabilized you after a couple minutes. You went straight into surgery. The first one took 12 hours. Then you had to go back in for your leg and wrist. That was another 7ish hours." You've been asleep since. They were worried you wouldn't wake up... You hit your head bad." She says as tears fall from her face. I squeeze her hand and just take it all in. "The first couple days we were so worried. I forgot to tell Ashley we found you. Um... She's, well they got here yesterday night. They couldn't see you since visiting hours were over but they are actually on there way now. Should be here soon" she says. I nod my head, "who's all here?" I ask. "Well, Ashley, Elizabeth, Mary-Kate and their mom." She says. I hum and close my eyes. "What's the damage Em?" I whisper when she doesn't answer I open my eyes and look at her. "It's pretty bad... The doctor should be in soon the explain it all" she says. I close my eyes to stop the tears. "There she is!" I hear and open my eyes. I smile as Penelope walks in with huge flowers and a stuffed bear. "Hey Pen" I say with a small smile. "Don't forget about us!" I hear and tilt my head to see behind her. I smile as Reid, Rossi, Hotch and... "Derrick" I breath out and he smile and crutches over to me. He gets to my side and grabs my hand, "hey JJ..." He says with tears forming in his eyes. I choke out a sob and he hugs me gently. "I'm so glad you're ok" I say and I hear a couple of laughs. We pull back and I look at them confused. "You just got blown up and your asking the guy who got shot in the leg, and punched a few times if he's ok?" Morgan asks with a smile and I chuckle lightly and shug, but groan when that made pain shoot through me. "hey is ok" Morgan says and I nod forcing a smile. "How are you feeling?" Hotch asks and I look at him. "Ok..." I say softly and they nod. "Thank you" I say "for finding us, getting me out" I say and they smile. "That was all you" Reid says and they nod. "We couldn't have found you guys without that signal" Penelope says. "Well, you taught me that. See I listen" I say jokingly and they laugh. "I'm glad you're ok JJ" Reid says and I smile at him. "Hey guys, why don't we head out. Ashley texted they just pulled up." Emily says. "We'll be in later ok?" Morgan says and I nod. "I'll talk to the doctor to see when we can get you home" Hotch says and I smile. "Ok, I'm going to head down to show them up. I'm afraid Ashley will fight the guard to get in here." Emily laughs. "They do take FBI safety seriously" Rossi jokes and they say goodbye and file out. I let out a breath and close my eyes. I feel a sharp pain in my side and groan the machines start to beep and the same team of nurses and doctors run in. "Jennifer can you hear me? Where does it hurt?" The doctor asks. "side" I grit out. I feel him lift my shirt and touch my side. I let out a yelp and arch my back. "She's bleeding, get me a scalpel!" He orders. "Ok Jennifer I'm going to have to relieve the pressure ok. I have to make a small incision in your side" he explains and I nod. "This may hurt" he says and then I feel a burning pain in my side. I groan and squeeze my eyes closed. "Ok all done. All done. Good job. Get me gauze." He says. "I'm let this drain, I'll be back in a bit to look at it and talk to you about your injuries ok? Oh I'm Dr. Franklin I helped out in both surgeries and have been taking care of you." He says and I nod. "nice to meet you doc" I say and he smiles and walks out. Fuck
