POV JJ

We just landed and I texted Ash I that we were headed to baggage. She and MK are coming to pick us up but I told them to wait in the car up front so no Paps will see them. I haven't had a problem with them yet which is surprising, but I also don't think they even know we are dating. "Is Ros coming here too?" Mom asks for the 5th time making me sigh. "No mom. Just me and you. She's a bit busy" I say, and she nods. "Did you pack my pain meds?" She asks. "Ya, they are in my bag. Do you need them? Are you in pain?" I ask worriedly. "No, no you were just so stressed this morning. You need to relax Jenny. You work too much" she says patting my face. After we get our bags, we head out and I spot Ash's car a bit down, so we head that way. "Is Elizabeth going to be here? She's the sweetest" she says smiling. She never met Liz until after we made up, but it makes sense because she knew about her, and this is a new world she created. Everything is perfect and good, but it's far from it. I see Ash and MK get out as we approach, and they smile at us. I warned Ash about the situation, so she knows not to kiss me or anything to make it look like we're a couple. "Hey guys. Thanks for picking us up" I say and give Ash's hand a squeeze. "It's no problem. What are roommates for" she says teasingly making me laugh. I'm glad she's being a good sport about it otherwise it would just be more stress. "It's nice to finally meet you. Both of you. You both look just like Elizabeth" she says, and I sigh as I put the last bag in the trunk. "It's nice to meet you too Ms. Jareau" Ash says. "Oh, please dear, call me Sandy" she says patting her hand then getting in the car. I shut the door behind her and look at the twins. "How bad is it?" MK asks. "She's created her own happy world. She's in deep, but Hotch and the team are going to help me out. I just want her to heal for a few days before I destroy her" I say, and they nod. MK hugs me and gets in the car leaving Ash and I alone. "I'm sorry" I say, and she just shakes her head and holds me tight. "we'll be ok. She'll be ok. I'm here for you. Always" she says, and I nod so badly wanting to kiss her. "I love you" she whispers kissing my head. "I love you too" I say back. We both get into the car and head home.

After an hour we finally get home and I get mom set up in the guest bedroom while MK and Ash get lunch ready... or MK. I think Ash is calling Liz since she is still out in LA till September when school starts for Rose. "Ok, all set mom. Let me check your bandages then we can go eat some lunch" I say, and she nods. I check her over and make sure she takes her meds then we head downstairs. "Hey, I made some sandwiches" MK says when we walk in. "Thank you dear" Mom says and sits down at the table. "When do I meet your team, Jenny?" Mom asks after a few moments of silence. "Oh, uh, well I was going to wait a few days to let you heal and settle in a bit. But I think Emily is going to come by to drop of some files" I say. "You work too much, Jenny. You should be like your sister. She knows how to take time off and spend it with her family" she says taking a bit making me drop my sandwich, not hungry anymore. I can feel Ash and MK looking at me, but I don't look up and take a calming breath. "Your right mom, I should join her. She sure knows how to relax" I say mumbling at the end. I feel a pain in my shine making me look up to see Ash scolding me making me sigh. "We should call her tonight. She is probably wondering what we are up too. You told her about me coming right?" She asks. "Yes, I told her. But she isn't the best at responding so I don't think she'll pick up" I say, and she nods. "Your right. She is always partying with her friends." Mom sighs "She is probably with that boyfriend of hers" she says laughing a bit. I freeze and clench my jaw, closing my eyes for a second. "He's not her boyfriend" I say harshly making her look at me. "No? I thought they had a thing going. He seems so nice" she says, and I tighten my fists. "He's not, trust me." I say and she chuckles making me look at her. "You just don't like that she keeps ditching you. You two were attached at the hip until she says in High school and started to see him." She says and I look down. "Do you not remember what happened?" I choke out. "What happened?" She asks furrowing her brows. "Nothing" I say and stand up, but I feel a hand grab my own. "Are you talking about her accident? Jenny that wasn't your fault." She says and I look away from her. "It wasn't an accident" I say, and she sighs. "Let's not talk about this now. Everyone is fine and happy. No reason to bring it up now. It happened a while ago. She is fine, you even threw away your life because of it." She says sighing the last part out. "You were always so smart Jennifer. You could have done anything you wanted... Let's not talk about thins anymore it's giving me a headache" she says, and I nod plastering a fake smile one. "Of course. I'm going to my room to unpack" I say walking away.
