POV JJ

It's been a few weeks since my birthday and it's now the beginning of August. The Twins haven't been as busy but they will soon start up again with their fall and winter lines. Work for me has been a bit slow. No new cases to travel to just lots of paperwork. I have been thinking a lot recently and I think I want to take the next step with Ashley. I have been browsing rings the past week and I've been trying to find a way to tell MK and Liz that I want to marry her. I'll also have to ask her mother and father but that can wait till I have something to show them. Right now I'm finishing up with work, "JJ, talk. Now" Penelope says coming up to my desk with Emily. I furrow my brows but comply following them to Pen's office. "What's up?" I ask as Emily shuts the door behind us. "You want to tell us something?" Em asks crossing her arms making me furrow my brows. "Um...no?" I question really confused. "I can't take this anymore!" Pen squeals and taps a key making rings come up on her screen. Well shit. "You're looking for rings!" She exclaims smiling wide. "Penelope. Did you hack into my personal search history?" I ask narrowing my eyes at her. She gulps and looks at Emily for help. "Don't look at me. I told you not to" Emily says raising her brows. "Ok, ok fine yes but, but I was curious JJ! You have been distracted and nervous so I wanted to make sure you were ok" she says hurriedly. "You could have just asked me" I say crossing my arms over my chest. "You would have just said nothing was wrong. I really tried. Promise I did but I couldn't help myself" she says and I sigh rolling my eyes playfully. "I'm not mad. And you're right, I'm looking for rings" I say and she squeals hugging me tight making me laugh. "When are you going to propose? Do you have a ring? Do her sisters know? Parents?" She fires out making me chuckle. "Pen. Calm down. And no, and I have no idea." I say and she smiles at me. "Congrats JJ" Emily says smiling at me. "I am going to talk with MK and Liz tomorrow. Ash is in a meeting so she won't suspect anything. If they agree to let me marry her I'm going to go ring shopping with them" I say and they both smile and hug me. "Show us the ring when you get it?" Pen asks and I nod. "they'll say yes JJ. Don't worry about it" Emily says patting my shoulder.

"Thanks for coming to lunch with me guys" I say after we get sat down in the diner. I made sure to choose a corner booth and a lokey place where they won't be bothered. "Pfft, it's about time I get to spend some time with my bestie. But why is MK here?" Liz asks making MK gasp and slap her sister's arm. I roll my eyes at their childish antics. "Guys, really?" I say smirking making them both huff and slouch into the booth. "I wanted to hand out with you both. I have something I want to ask" I say getting nervous now. "Ok, let's order first then we can talk. Is Ash coming after her meeting?" MK asks and I shake my head. "She doesn't know I'm getting lunch with you both" I say and they both straighten up at that intrigued. "Ok... Be a criptic profiler. But you will be sharing with the class" Liz says making me snort and nod my head. We order not long after and when I face them again they are both on leaned into the table like they are children's waiting for a bedtime story. "So..." MK says raising her eyebrow. I take a claming breath and glancing down before meeting their eyes. "I need your help with something... Well, maybe I should make sure it's ok but, uh..." I say stuttering a bit. This is much harder then I thought. "Hey." Liz says softly reaching over to grab my hand. I look at her taking it and smile nervously. "I want to marry Ashley." I rush out and they both go wide eyed and Liz's slack loosens. I beging to panic a bit but then they both squeal an unhunan sound, then shoot up from the booth stumbling out. Liz jerks me up and wraps me in a hug and MK slams into me too. I'm shocked. Stunned. Frozen, but eventually that washes away and I smile hugging them back. "Yes! Finally!" MK squeals and Liz nods her head getting a bit teary eyed. "So you approve?" I ask just in case and they both nod "yes! Of course! You are the only person I could see Ashley with! I'm so excited!" MK squeals again and then hugs me. "I'm proud of you JJ and I'm so happy. Ashley is lucky to have you" Liz says and tears now form in my eyes as I hug her again. We have to sit down when the food comes out and we settle in smiling at each other. "So... Do you have a ring?" MK asks. "Well, that is the other thing I wanted to ask you both" I say and Liz bounces a bit in her seat. "Yes! We will help you" she says causing me to laugh. "I was thinking after lunch?" I ask and they seem to grow happier and nod enthusiastically.
