Missed you!

POV Lizzie:

It's been 2 months and the last time I heard from JJ was 5 weeks ago when she told me she was injured and at the hospital but was ok. I've been super worried, Emily texted me a couple weeks ago saying the case wasn't over and the JJ was ok and not to worry. But how could I not!? She's my best friends, sister. I have been keeping myself busy my tending to my garden, going on walk with Scar and Rosie, and also hanging out with my sister's. But I still keep worrying about JJ I can't help it, that's just how I am. Today we got a late start as Scar, Rosie, and I had a movie night last night and ended up snuggling up in bed. I woke up first, of course, and made breakfast, the clock says 9 so they should be getting up by the time I'm done. I made pancakes and bacon then grabbed the orange juice out and started the coffee. As I was plating everything Scar came out in her PJS looking super cute, as she just woke up. "Morning babe. Smells good." She said as she came up to me to give me a kiss. I smiled into the kiss then told her good morning. "Why don't you go grab Rosie and I'll set the table?" I asked her. He nodded and went back into the bedroom. A minute later they both came out Rosie looking super cutie as she clung to her mom. "Morning Rosie! I made pancakes!" I cheerfully told her. She perked up and wiggled out of Scar's grasp to get to the table. I laughed and we started to plate dig in. Not long after Red, our 2 year old husky, can trotting into the kitchen and scarfed up his food then ran into the back yard through the dog door. I chuckled at that, he was such a odd dog but I loved him to bits. We continued to eat in a happy silence until our heads turned the door as someone knocked.

POV JJ:

As I was driving up to Lizzie's I noticed it was about 9:30, they should be up by now I thought. I pulled up into their driveway and hopped out of the car. Before I could get to their front door I was bulldozed into by Red, OMG I love his so much, this dog is the best! I steadied myself as I knelt down to give him some love. I got up and he followed after me as I walked up the steps to the front door. I took a deep breath before knocking.

POV Lizzie:

"Are we expecting anyone today?" Scar asked me. "Not that I know of no, let me grab it." I told her and she nodded her head and helped Rosie clean her face a bit. I walked to the door and unlocked it. When I open it I was shocked. Frozen. JJ was not in front of me right!? I was lost in my thoughts when she spoke up, "Hey Lizard, are you just going to stare at me or..." That did it, that made me snap out of my thoughts and I screamed out, "OMG JJ I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" and I waisted no more time a launched myself at her. I started to cry from joy, worry, anger, pretty much every emotion I was going through but most of all I was happy she was back safe.

POV JJ:

After Lizzie screamed and launched herself into me she started to shake and cry. I stroked her back and kept telling her I was safe and ok, as well as how much I missed her. After about 5 minutes she leaned back and punched me in the arm. "OW! What the hell was that for!" I yelled at her. "That was for ghosting me after you told me you were hospitalized and nothing else!" She exclaimed but before I could say anything she tackled me into a hug again. After she released me I gave her my famous smirk and said, "Those bipolar meds are really doing wonders, should probably get them checked Lizard." She gasped and went slapped me again as I just laughed at her. I quickly composed myself when I saw Rose running at me. "Auntie JJ!! You're back!" She yelled at she launched herself at me. I quickly knelt down and braised for impact. "Monkey! I missed you so much. OMG you are getting so big!" I exclaimed she pulled back and giggled at me. Scarlett came over and I stood up and gave her a small hug. "Glad you are back JJ, we missed you" she told me as we pulled away. "I missed you guys too!" I told them all. We decided to go inside sat I went to sit on the couch as Red hopped up to lay on me. "Do you want anything to eat JJ? We were just finishing up but if your hungry I can make you a plate?" Lizzie asked. "No I'm ok Liz I ate already, thank you." I told her. She and Scarlett cleaned up as Rose came over and climbed into my other side where Red wasn't. "What do you think you're doing monkey?" I amusingly asked her. "I missed you auntie and want to be close to you" she shyly says. "Awe monkey I missed you to come here" I told her. She snuggled into me as we waited for Liz and Scarlett to be done. A couple minutes later they came into the room and sat on the other couch. "When did you get back JJ?" Scarlett asks. "Um...last night" I said hesitantly. Lizzie sat up straight and exclaimed,"What!? And you didn't tell me!?" I flinched and said, "we got back late and didn't want to wake you. Also I had some work to finish up and wanted it to be done so I could give you guys my full attention." She slumped back and huffed out, "ya I guess that was smart" causing Scarlett and I to laugh. "Are you planning on doing anything today?" Scarlett asks. "Just spend the day with you guys if that's ok?" I ask them. Lizzie's face lights up and she agrees excitedly. We agree to a chill day and play some games and hang out outside most of the day.

We just finished dinner and are hanging out in the living room, "Hey I should head back this monkey here can't keep her eyes open and I'm pretty tired myself." I tell them Lizzie pouts but agrees. I say goodnight to Rose and Scarlett as she brings her up to her room. "I'm glad your back and safe JJ. I was worried about you." Lizzie tells me. I sigh and bring her into a hug. "I know Liz I'm sorry I got caught up in the case and didn't realize it was so long." I told her as we still hugged. She pulled back and said, "I know JJ. You get so focused and determined which is one of the things I love and hate about you." She jokes. I laugh with her and nod. "I'll talk to you tomorrow ok? We can plan a something for just us to ok?" I tell her. She smiles and nods in agreement. After saying goodnight to Red and Liz again I head out to my car and drive home.
