Hey sorry for the wait again I had finals. This is going to jump a few weeks, it's now April for anyone following along with the time.

POV JJ

The last few weeks Ashley and I have been back in our flow. It's been great and we seem to have a dynamic down to a T now. She has been working on her stress and time management since the twins are working on their fashion line for the summer. We haven't had any cases, so I have been working regular hours I also have my first therapy session today. I told Ashley about it a few days ago and she was really happy, and I could see some of her stress dissipate which made me feel guilty for making her feel that way. Right now, I'm about to head out as I took off today. I didn't tell the team because I don't want them to pull me, so I said I had an appointment... which isn't a lie per say. I head out the door and hop in my car but before I can go anywhere my phone goes off.

Mon Soleil❤️

Hey baby, I'm proud of you.
Text me when you're done ok.
Love you

Me

I will. Love you too

I sigh and put my phone in the center console and drive off. Maybe 15 minutes later I arrive at the office, and I head in. I go through doing the basic paperwork and take a seat to wait for my name to be called. This is the only time I would welcome a call saying we have a case, but much to my disappointment an older looking lady comes out saying my name making me put on my FBI mask. She brings me to a room with a couch and an armchair which is clearly for her. The room is welcoming, soft colors and there's a small window in the corner. I see pictures on the wall, generic and some personal family ones on her desk. I analyze the couch and what position to take. Where you sit and how you sit tells a lot right away. She will be able to get a read on my behavior and how I am feeling just by that. "Please take a seat wherever you would like" she says kindly making me think again. It's a trick we use as well to analyze behavior. I sit Furthest from the door where I can have a clear view of everything and the window. Clear escape paths and I have cover from where I am. I keep my posture relaxed and neutral as possible to not give anything away. If I have to do this, I won't make it easy. I will be doing the analyzing on her. She takes a seat and pulls out a notebook and pen. "Hello, Jennifer, My name's Dr. Wells. I see this is your first time... correct?" She asks but I know she knows the answer. "That is correct" I say, and she nods smiling and clicking her pen open. "So today I would like to just get to know you a bit and maybe have you explain why it is you sought out therapy. I would like to get a feel on how to help you best. After that we can make a plan and go from there, how does that sound?" She asks and I nod my head and she jots something down. "Ok, so tell me a bit about yourself. I know you filled out a questionnaire, but I would like to get to know you a bit more. Those things never really tell me much" she says laughing slightly. "Um, well I'm 28 I travel for work mainly. uh... I'm in a relationship we actually just moved in together almost a month ago." I say not wanting to give too much away. "Oh ok, how nice! That is a big step, if you don't mind me asking how long you have both been together?" She asks with a smile. "Since October so... almost 7 months now" I say with a slight smile thinking about Ashley. "Oh, wow ok, did you do anything special?" She asks and I furrow my brows at that...we didn't. "Uh no, no... Well, we moved in together and had a day to ourselves but nothing fancy. She is in the fashion industry and is busy with the summer line. Guess the big celebration was moving in" I say, and she nods writing something. Shit... well now she knows I'm gay. probably what she wrote. I think to myself. "Nothing wrong with that." She says and I nod. "So, why are you here Jennifer?" I sigh internally a bit, at least she didn't ask about my work yet. "Well, I have some... trauma and baggage from my childhood and I guess I never really delt with that. That and my girlfriend is worried about me, and I don't want to cause her anymore stress" I share, and she nod setting her pen down. "You care about your girlfriend" she says, and I nod, obviously. "Do you want to get better? Because if you are doing this for her you won't help yourself" she says, and I nod. "I know. Honestly... she is one of the reasons but it's not just for her. I do need to do this for me. It's been too long pushing everything down and I don't want to hurt her. I want to be the best person I can be for her but also myself" I say, and she smiles nodding. "I think I can help you get there...but you have to be open with me. I'm not saying pour out your life story in a few sessions but don't keep thins full front you have on now. You showed me a bit just now which I appreciate. It shows me you want this." She says and I nod. "Ok, we won't go into it all today, but I will put down family as a starting place" she says confirming it with me making me nod. "Ok, now... you said you travel for work. What do you do?" She asks making me groan internally. I hesitate and she notices setting her pen down again. "In the government" I share, and she nods clearly wanting more, but I say nothing else. "If you are worried about me telling them about what we talk about I won't I don't work for the government. I can only give you my recommendations and I will only disclose information if it's absolutely necessary. That is only in the case of if you are threating your or someone else's life." She says and I nod. "Clearly you didn't want to go through them for a reason" she sates, and I nod. "I work for the BAU, Behavioral analysis unit in the FBI." I say and her eyes widen a bit, and she smiles. "That explains a bit for when you first walking in and did your scans" she says, and I nod. "So, you know all the tricks" she jokes and I crake a smile nodding. "Well, this should be a bit easier then. You know the workings of the mind and behavior. I guess we can really delve in deep then" she says, and I shrug. "We can try" I say, and she laughs a bit. "I look forward to it." She says. We talk about small things for another 10 minutes until the times up. "Would you like to book another session? I would really like to delve deeper with you" she says, and I say nodding my head making her smile. "Great. I know you said you travel and I'm guessing it's for cases?" She asks and I nod. "Ok, I can be flexible for you, but you have to promise me to reschedule if you can't make a session" she says, and I nod. "Great. I want to start off with weekly sessions. Is there a day and time you want to do?" She asks. "Wednesdays would be best. I get off early so I can come after at 2?" I say, and she nods. Once set she walks me out and we say goodbye and I leave the building taking a breath.
