Five hours go by and it's 12:30am, and dark out. I'm still in the trailer catching up on work and drinking more coffee than is acceptable, when the door opens.
Scarlett: Oh, hey! I thought you'd be long gone but I saw the lights on so thought I'd see if you were still here.
Me: Nah, I had a few things to catch up on with me only just getting here, and I didn't just want to leave without making sure you didn't need something...do you need anything? I can get you another coffee if you're staying longer?
Scarlett: You are an actual angel sent from heaven. I actually need a ride back to my hotel if it's not out of your way, my husband went out tonight without telling me and I don't want to bother my security, Jack. He's probably with his wife.
Me: Yeah of course, no problem at all! Let me just get my stuff together and I'll be out in a second. Do you need anything from your trailer that I can get for you?
Scarlett: It's okay, I picked all my stuff up before I came to you. I'm ready to go whenever you are.I put my laptop in my backpack and grabbed my keys from the side.
Scarlett: Yours is the Merc, right?
Me: Yeah, how did you know?
Scarlett: Y/N/N, I saw you pulling up this morning, you've literally parked it outside of my trailer so it's hard not to notice. You're okay with me calling you Y/N/N, right?
Me: Yeah, of course! Y/N/N is good. You?
Scarlett: Hm?
Me: Do you shorten your name? I know you hate it when people call you ScarJo so I won't mention that again.
Scarlett: Yeah, it's so annoying! But if it's not just Scarlett, my husband calls me Scarl but he's the only one I think.
Me: Scarlett it is then.
Scarlett: You can call me Scarl if it's easier, honestly. It sounds so cute in your accent.
Me: What an honour.
Scarlett: Are you always so sarcastic?
Me: It's my middle name.
Scarlett: I'll have to get used to that, it's cute though. Do you actually have a middle name?
Me: Y/M/N. You?
Scarlett: Ingrid.
Me: I already knew that, I just wanted to see if you'd tell me.We both head out of the trailer and across the parking lot. I dump my things on the back seat and Scarlett does the same, both jumping into the front seats at the same time.
Scarlett: You might get a few flashes in your face coming out of here from the paparazzi, sorry. I don't know how they always know where I am.
Me: No problem, I have sunglasses anyway. I'm used to it from back home. It sounds arrogant but I think some of them have worked out who I am already. We get to the gate where flashes go off all around the car. I have to drive really slowly to avoid hitting anyone, eventually driving away.
Scarlett: So how come you need a job out here if you did all those projects back home? If you don't mind me asking.
Me: No, of course. All of my money is going to paying off my parents' mortgage, and when my Dad died a couple of months ago my Mam was left with nothing, so I gave as much as I could to her, I left myself with just enough to get by over here with a job. My sister helped, but she's so busy that she never really sorts her own finances out, she has people to do that for her, so it just made sense for me to take the hit and work something out. I still send her everything I can.
Scarlett: Sorry about your Dad, how did he die?
Me: Car accident. He went through a green light and someone smashed into the side of him. He was in a coma for a couple of weeks, but didn't make it.
Scarlett: Is that why you moved out here?
Me: Nah, I had this planned for years, I just never got the chance until now.
Scarlett: And you have a sister?
Me: Yeah, Perrie, from Little Mix?
Scarlett: My daughter loves them! You'll have to get her some tickets! I mean, she's only 1 but she likes the music.Scarlett's phone goes off, it's her friend.
Scarlett: Sorry, I thought that was on silent, excuse me a second.
