Bucky and Luna finalized the details of their cover story after they left the diner. They would be posing as Noah and Anna Turner, newlyweds who had just bought their first house and were excited to start their lives as husband and wife. Noah worked remotely as a software engineering manager for an emerging tech company in New York which allowed Anna the comfort of being able to focus all her attention on writing her first novel. It would also be a bonus for the couple since they had only been married for five months and were still in the honeymoon stage where they wanted to spend all their time together.

Luna tried to get into the mindset of a newly married woman who supposedly adored her husband, but as they pulled into the driveway, all she could think about was a nap. Tony had the house furnished the week prior by SHIELD agents posing as movers. Thomas and Megan had been out of town for the last two weeks, so it was the perfect time to set up. The agents even got the surveillance equipment going while they were there, so Luna and Bucky would be good to go when they arrived. They grabbed their bags from the back of the car and made their way to the house. Bucky opened the door and turned to Luna, leaning in and whispering in her ear.

"For appearances sake, I should probably carry my new bride over the threshold."

"Not happening." Luna retorted. "They aren't even home."

"No, but there are other nosey neighbors watching." Bucky discreetly motions to the house across the street where the curtain was slightly drawn back at the side. "I know you don't like it, but it's part of the job. Just think of this as your Oscar winning performance."

"Ugh, fine. Whisk me away, Barnes." Luna lifted her arms up and looked at him.

He chuckled at her standing with her arms over her head looking like a gymnast about to perform a routine. Bucky tossed their bags inside the door and then scooped Luna into his arms. Her arms wrapped loosely around his neck causing her hair to shift over her shoulder. He inhaled deeply as a sweet aroma hit his nose. She smelled like warm vanilla and brown sugar. His face leaned closer to hers involuntarily, hoping to catch the scent again.

He carefully stepped over the threshold into the house and set her down on the dark hardwood floor, shutting the door behind them. The house wasn't huge, but it wasn't exactly small either. It was an open concept with the entryway flowing into the living room. On the left side of the entrance was the kitchen with a decent sized island and a small attached dining room. Down a hallway to the right of the living room was a half bath and the master bedroom with an attached bathroom. The set of stairs immediately to the right of the door led upstairs to two more bedrooms and a bathroom. Looking out the french doors across from the main entrance, Luna saw a small patio area leading to a large yard.

"Bad news." Bucky called out from the middle of the staircase. "The rooms up here are small and they're stuffed full of surveillance equipment. We couldn't even fit an air mattress if we wanted to. Our only option is to share the master bedroom."

"Uh-uh, you're sleeping on the couch." Luna grabbed her suitcase and walked off to the bedroom.

"Hey! Why do I have to take the couch?" Bucky followed her into the surprisingly large master.

"Because you're a gentleman."

"Can't we at least switch off nights?" Bucky reasoned with her.

"Ya know what, Barnes. I'll think about it."

Luna walked around the room placing her clothes in the drawers and finding places to hide the weapons she had brought with her. She walked into the bathroom to put away her toiletries and stopped dead in her tracks. It was larger than she had expected. There was a double vanity against the right wall, a water closet on the back wall, a decent sized shower in the far left corner of the room, and a large clawfoot tub across from the vanity. If there was time to spare, she was going to put that tub to use before the mission was over. Her bathroom at the compound was a standard tub and wasn't as good for soaking as this one would be.
