"Hey, Cap. Have you seen Barnes?" Nat asked as she walked into the kitchen Monday morning.

"Nope." Steve shook his head and went back to eating.

"That's weird. He's supposed to go to a briefing with me, but I can't find him. He's not in his room or the gym and those are the only two places he ever goes, well besides Luna's room, but it's too early for him to do his normal check."

"Huh, that's weird. Maybe look on the roof. He goes up there to think sometimes. Especially if he has a rough night." Steve said, not looking up from his plate and avoiding eye contact.

"What's going on?" Nat sat in front of him and arched her eyebrow.

"What are you talking about?" Steve asked casually.

"Something is going on and you're trying to hide it."

"What makes you think that?" Steve said, finally raising his head to look at her with a relaxed expression.

"You're a terrible liar, Rogers." Nat smirked. "Out with it. Where has Barnes disappeared to?"

"I honestly don't know, Nat. I wish I could help you, but all I can do is try to give him a call." Steve stood up to put his plate in the sink and turned back towards her.

"Do you really think we're that blind, Steve?"

"What do you mean?"

"Bucky and Luna couldn't even be in the same room as each other before they left and now he dotes on her like she's the apple of his eye."

A small flicker of unease flitted across Steve's face. Nat held his gaze waiting for him to break but he masked his worry and, as quick as his discomfort appeared, it was gone. Steve knew everyone was suspicious and he had told Bucky to be careful, but he didn't pay attention to him. Luna was trying to conceal her feelings for Bucky with teasing comments that would normally make Bucky mad, but now he laughed them off and teased her right back, making her laugh instead of storming off. For two people who liked to hide themselves from the world, they were terrible at hiding the fact that they were in love with each other.

"I'm in the dark as much as you are Nat." Steve said as he leaned against the counter.

"Mhm, sure you are." She hummed.

"I'll let you know if I see Bucky."

"You do that, Rogers." Nat said and walked out of the kitchen in the direction of the meeting rooms.

Once she was gone, Steve headed towards Luna's room. FRIDAY granted him entrance and he froze in his tracks when he saw Luna cuddled in Bucky's arms as the two peacefully slept. He was still having problems wrapping his head around the fact that this would be the new dynamic between the two of them. He was so used to Bucky complaining about Luna, that seeing his arms wrapped around her so protectively almost made Steve feel like he had stepped into an alternate universe.

"Bucky." Steve whispered, trying not to startle Luna.

Bucky flinched in his sleep and pulled Luna further onto his chest.

"Bucky, wake up!" Steve hissed.

"Go away, Steve." Bucky replied sleepily.

"You're supposed to be in a meeting with Nat. She's looking for you."

Bucky's eyes flew open and connected with Steve's. He forgot about the meeting and didn't bother setting an alarm. Getting up before the sun rose was never an issue for him, but last night was the first time in a week that he had been able to sleep beside Luna and it was possibly the deepest sleep of his life. Bucky carefully turned Luna onto her back and slipped out of the bed without waking her.
