TW: Mentions of sexual assault later in this chapter.

"Lunch will be ready in a bit. You want another glass of wine?" Megan asked from the stove.

Luna twirled her wine glass in her hand by the steam. Thomas had left an hour ago, murmuring something about errands on his way out the door. Bucky would be tailing him today while Luna spent her afternoon with Megan. She was still scrambling to come up with a plan that would allow her to search Thomas's office. She had briefly considered slipping Megan a sleeping pill, but she didn't think Bucky would approve.

"No thanks. One more and Noah might have to come help me home." Luna chuckled.

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He likes to get his hands on you whenever he has the chance." Megan waggled her eyebrows at Luna.

"Don't I know it." Luna mumbled.

Bucky wasn't just handsy in front of Megan now, he seemed to like touching her whenever he got the chance. Over the past few days since their bedroom adventure, he'd skim his hand along her lower back when he'd pass her or pull her against him as soon as they laid down in the bed at night. She wouldn't admit it out loud, but she actually liked his touch. It was soothing and safe.

"Do you mind if I use your bathroom? I'm not feeling great." Luna asked.

"Yeah, you know where it is. Are you okay?" Megan spared her a glance of concern.

"Yeah, just a little nauseous."

"Oh my God, Anna! Could you be pregnant?!" Megan exclaimed in excitement, turning away from the stove and clutching her hands in front of her chest.

"No, no. I highly doubt I'm pregnant." Luna chuckled when Megan's face fell.

"I was hoping you said yes." Megan pouted.

"Noah and I wanted at least a year or two with just us before starting a family. I think it's just the wine getting to me."

"Okay. Take your time and let me know if you need anything."

Luna nodded at Megan and walked out of the kitchen and down the hall. Thomas's office was right across from the bathroom making it easy to slip into the room without having to divert to a different section of the house. Luna paused outside the room and listened to make sure Megan was still busy in the kitchen. The soft sound of humming and the clang of a pan gave Luna the okay to enter the room. She shut the door quietly behind her and then pulled out her phone to text Bucky.

Luna: In his office.

Bucky: He's on his way back. You have ten minutes, doll.

"Shit." She whispered.

Luna shoved her phone in her pocket and got to work. The room was moderately furnished with a desk, a few bookcases, and a file cabinet. The desktop was clear of any clutter, so she moved straight to the drawers. There was nothing helpful in the desk besides some dates and times scrawled onto a notepad, but there were no addresses or information saying what was happening on those dates. She took a picture of the notepad to send to Tony.

Luna looked at the bookcases next. Random knick-knacks and novels littered the shelves, but one section of the middle shelf caught her eye. Several chemistry books were stacked neatly on top of each other. The top one had a sheet of notebook paper peeking out and Luna could faintly make out a partial chemical equation. She grabbed the book and cracked it open to the page that the paper was tucked into. Taking a quick picture with her phone, Luna sent the information to Tony and Bruce. The last thing she needed to do was take a look in the file cabinet.
