Jacob had been released from the Hospital Wing the next day. Harry had told him that Barty Jr disguised himself as Alastor Moody using Polyjuice Potion and held the real Moody captive. Barty Jr was also the one who placed their names into the Goblet Of Fire.
In the Great Hall all students, faculty members as well as Ashla, Jennifer and Jason joined together as Dumbledore spoke.
"Today, we nearly lost one of our beloved students at the hands of the most dangerous dark wizard to have ever walked this earth. Lord Voldemort!" He said as everyone in the Great Hall gasped. "The Ministry of Magic does not wish me to tell you this. But not to do so, I think would be foolish. Now many of you know the story of our own Mr. Potter and his encounter with the Dark Lord. But you may be wondering how Mr. Archer, a 4th year student, was able to hold his own with the likes of the Dark Lord. Earlier today Mr. Acher and his mother had given me permission to tell you his heritage. You see Jacob Archer is no ordinary boy. He just so happens to be the Last Descendant of the Great One.........Merlin"
Everyone in the Great Hall gasped in amazement. Hermione then held her boyfriend's hand in a loving manner.
"Voldemort saw him as a threat. That is why he had one of his followers place his name as well as Mr. Potter's name into the Goblet Of Fire. Hoping to get them both killed. Now we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one. In light of recent events, the bonds of friendship we've made this year will be more important than ever. Later Jacob and Ashla were walking down the halls of the castle side by side.
"You didn't have to give Dumbledore permission to tell everyone about your heritage Jacob" Ashla said.
"Yes, I did" Jacob said "With Lucius being one of Voldemort's followers he would've told the Ministry and then that bitch Rita would've put it on the front page"
"That's true" Ashla said.
"Besides, if it came from me, everyone would probably think I was insane. And everyone respects Dumbledore anyway" Jacob said.
"It seems you have a lot of respect as well" Ashla said. They walked past a few Gryffindors as well as Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs even a few Syltherins slightly bowed to him.
"But the thing is I don't want to be respected because of my heritage." Jacob said "I just want to be respected for who I am"
"But already are Jacob" Ashla said facing her son. "Think about Harry, Ron, Linda and especially Hermione. They all respect and love you for who you really are even before they knew about about your heritage. It doesn't make who you are. It's your life, your story. Who you choose to be. If the other students can't look past your heritage, then they don't deserve to be your friends"
Jacob thought for a moment and realized she was right. He was a Descendant of Merlin. But it didn't defy who he was nor will it ever.
"Thanks Mum" Jacob as he wiped away his tears and hugged Ashla. I really needed to hear that"
"You're welcome sweetheart" Ashla said.
"Now I see why you were placed in Ravenclaw" Jacob said as they laughed. ______________________________________
Later Jacob went out to the courtyard with all the students and saw Krum give Hermione a peice of parchment and walked away.
