A few months had past since the 6th year had ended and since Dumbledore's Funeral.
Jacob was at home with Uncle and Aunt who about a month ago had given birth to a healthy baby girl named Emily.

Jacob had already loved her very much but unfortunately he wouldn't get to spend a lot of time together because he had to help Harry find the remaining Horcruxes in order to defeat Voldemort.
Jacob went into the kitchen and saw Jennifer feeding Emily.
"Alright, I'm heading out" He said.
"Where are you going?" Jennifer asked in concern.
"I'm going over to Hermione's. I need to be there for her when she erases her parents memories" Jacob said.
"That poor girl" Jennifer said "I can't imagine how difficult must be for her"
"It's the only way to keep them safe" Jacob said "Plus I need to talk to them before it happens"
"Talk to them about what?" Jennifer asked as Jacob pulled out the box with the ring inside out of his pocket.
"I'm going to ask for their blessing to marry Hermione" Jacob said as Jennifer covered her mouth with both of her hands.
"Oh my god Jacob" Jennifer cried as she hugged her nephew. "I'm so proud of you sweetheart"
"Thanks Aunt Jenny" Jacob said "I better get going"
"Ok, I'm going to take Emily to the Burrow. You're Uncle and Mother will meet you at Harry's house"
"I'll see you there" Jacob said.
"And Jacob, please be careful" Jennifer pleaded.
"I will, I promise" Jacob said. ______________________________________
Later, Jacob came up to Hermione's place and knocked on the door. I few seconds later Monica answered the door.
"Jacob, it's so good to see you!" Monica said hugging the young man.
"Good to see you too Monica" Jacob said hugging her back.
They entered the house and were greeted by Wendall.
"Glad you could come visit Jacob" Wendall said shaking his hand.
"I'm happy to be here. There's something really important I wanted to talk to you both about" Jacob said.
"What is it son?" Wendall asked.
Jacob sat on a chair while Hermione's parents sat on the couch.
"As you know, Hermione means everything to me. She's the one true love of my life and I don't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone except her" Jacob said as he took out the box and opened it showing them the ring.
