A few months had past since the second year ended. Jacob and his family had taken a trip to Scotland over the summer. During that time Jacob had told Jason and Jennifer that he was Merlin's last descendant and they were beyond shocked. Neither of them knew that Jacob or his father Michael were descendants, they assumed that neither he or Ashla knew because they never said anything about it.
Jacob, Jason and Jennifer had returned home to London from Scotland and they were spending the night at the Leaky Cauldron to rest. In the morning Jacob woke in the room he was staying in at the Leaky Cauldron. He then unpacked his trunk to get dressed when some pictures fell out. He picked then up and saw that they were pictures of Hermione that she had sent him while she was in France. His favorite was the one of her standing from of the Eiffel Tower that said
"Missing you a lot Love Hermione xoxo"
"That's my Mione" Jacob said smiling as he walked out of his room. Just as he was about to head out to the lobby Jacob accidentally bumped into someone.
"Oh, sorry I wasn't-" Jacob just before he saw that it was none other than his best friend and God brother Harry Potter. "Harry!"

"Jacob!" Harry said as the two shared a hug "It's great to see you"
"You too mate" Jacob said "What are you doing at the Leaky Cauldron?"
"Long Story" Harry said "You?"
"Just got back from Scotland last night" Jacob said as he then heard hissing and squeaking.
The two boys turned around and saw a rat being chased by an orange cat.
"Wasn't that Ron's rat Scabbers?" Jacob asked.
"I think so" Harry replied.
"Come on" Jacob said as he and Harry followed the cat and rat.
"I'm warning you Hermione" A familiar voice said the lobby. "Keep that bloody beast of yours away from Scabbers or turn it into a tea cozy!"
"He's a cat Ronald, what did you expect It's in his nature" said another familiar voice that made Jacob smile. As he and Harry made their way to the lobby they saw Ron and Hermione arguing about Scabbers and the cat that was chasing him.
"A cat? Is that what they told you?" Ron asked "Looks more like a pig with hair if you ask me"
"That's rich, coming from the owner of that smelly old shoe brush!" Hermione said "It's alright Crookshanks. You just ignore the mean little boy."
"Well it's nice to see you two haven't changed a bit" Jacob said getting their attention.
"Harry!" Ron said as Hermione turned around and saw Harry along with the boy she had a crush on.
