The next Morning the Quartet were in the great hall eating breakfast. Well, almost all of them. Jacob was staring at his toast while he kept thinking about what happened with the troll.

"Jacob!"

Jacob jumped as he heard his name and he saw Hermione sitting next to him.

"Oh, Sorry Mione did you say something?" The boy asked.

"I asked 'What's wrong?' You've been staring at your toast for fifteen minutes" Hermione said.

"Sorry, just still in shock about what happened last night" Jacob replied. "I still don't know what came over me."

"Maybe it was just a surge of magic" Hermione said "I'm sure it happens to a lot of young wizards and witches"

"Take a bit of toast mate, Go on" Ron said to Harry who was also staring at his food.

"Ron's right Harry" Hermione said "You're gonna need your strength today"

"You're gonna be playing in your first Quidditch game today mate. Aren't you excited?" Jacob asked.

"I'm not hungry....." Harry said

"Oh cheer up Harry, I'm sure you'll do fine." Jacob said "Like Hermione said, it's in your blood"

Just then Snape came out of nowhere and approached the Quartet. "Good luck today Potter" he said as the Quartet faced the Potions Professor. "Then again now that you've proven yourself against a troll a little game of Quidditch should be easy enough for you. Even if it is against Syltherin"

Snape then walked away. Except he wasn't really walking, he was limping and the quartet noticed it.

"That explains the blood" Harry said

"Blood?" Hermione asked.

"What blood?" Jacob asked.

"Listen, last night I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion so he could get past the Cerberus himself" Harry said "But, he got himself bitten and that's why he's limping."

"But why would anyone go near the Cerberus?" Hermione asked.

"Isn't it obvious Hermione?" Jacob asked. "Snape wants what the Cerberus is guarding. But the question is what is it guarding?"

"Well, the day I was at Gringotts Hagrid took something out of the vaults. Said it was Hogwarts business very secret." Harry said.

"Maybe that's what my Uncle was investigating" Jacob said as the others looked at him in confusion.

"What do mean?" Hermione asked.

"The day I got my pocket watch my Uncle sent me a letter saying he was gonna be busy. I bet he was investing what happened at Gringotts" Jacob said "He's an Auror, he said they are like the police of the Wizarding World. If I can get him to tell us what he knows we might be able to find out what Snape is after"

"Brilliant idea Jacob" Harry said

Just then the quartet heard a screeching sound and saw that it was Harry's owl Hedwig flying towards them with a package. The snowy owl then dropped the package into Harry's hands. Then he placed it on the table.

"A bit early for mail isn't it?" Hermione asked.

"But.....I never get mail" Harry said.

"There's a first time for everything mate" Jacob said "Come on let's see what you got"

The Quartet unwrapped the package together and saw it was a broomstick.

"It's a broomstick" Harry said.
