Hearts on Fire

Chapter 7

Letting the wind blow through your hair, you smile and turn to look at Eddie. The both of you were driving towards the direction of your house and honestly you were a little nervous, Eddie has never been over at your house. Well... he has been in your room before, multiple times but your mother never knew.

One night after a few days of dating, you heard something hit your bedroom window. Seeing what it could be, it was Eddie throwing pebbles in hopes to get your attention. Quickly opening the window he climbed in and spent the night. After that first night you would just leave the window unlocked as Eddie would always come and stay with you. The both of you never did anything, just stayed up late talking and cuddling up in bed.

Pulling into your driveway you brought your attention back to Eddie who turned off the car engine. Handing you over the keys, he gets out of the car and walks towards your side opening the car door for you.Stepping out, the both of you make your way to the front door and you unlock it. Stepping foot inside you sigh with relief feeling the comfort of being back in your house. After closing the door behind you, the both of you make your way up to your room,"You can leave your bag here, if you need the restroom it is down the hall and two doors to the right." Taking off your shoes, you feel Eddie wrap his arms from behind you,"So this is it, huh? Just the two of us, alone in your house... For three weeks." Eddie whispered into your ear and kissed down your neck.
"Be careful, Munson... I make the rules here," you say, turning around to look at him. The both of you kiss and fall back on your bed. Hovering over you Eddie smirks, grabbing the pillow from behind your head and swinging it towards his head.
"OW! Oh so you wanna play games don't you, Princes." Picking up a pillow he swings it to you, you hit him back. Taking the pillow from your hands and throwing them across your room he brings his hands to your stomach and starts to tickle you, letting out a squeal you tell him to stop. The room fills with both of your laughs as he tickles you and you try to push him away. After what seems like forever, Eddie stops and lays right next to you.
Looking into each other's eyes, Eddie grins at you. "What?" He asked and all you do is look into his beautiful brown eyes leaning in to kiss him on the lips. Placing his hand behind your back to bring you closer towards him, the two of you just enjoy the next 5 minutes of each other's lips. Pulling away, Eddie looks into your eyes and says,"I love you. I can't get enough of you..." Laying your head on his chest, you close your eyes hearing the little thumping sounds of his heart. "Do you hear that? How it goes faster the more I am with you? Oh, I do not know what you did sweetheart, but I am not complaining." Running his hands up and down your back, you feel yourself slowly drift off to sleep.

Quickly jolting awake to the sound of a knock at the front door, you turn to look at Eddie who is still soundly asleep and give him a little kiss on the cheek as you slowly get off the bed not wanting to wake him up. Walking down toward the front door you first peek through the window and see Nancy Wheeler? Unlocking the door, indeed it is Nancy and her brother. "Oh, Hi Y/N." Greeting her you ask her what she was doing at your house, the two of you never spoke to each other besides when joined for school projects. "Well, your mom called my mom and we wanted to bring you this meatloaf she made. Also to let you know that if you need anything while you're alone, you're always welcome to come to our house." Nancy explained as you took the meatloaf from her hands, thanking her. "If you ever get too lonely you can come over and hang out with us! Watch a movie, go to the arcade! Although, only for today. Nance and I are leaving for California tomorrow. But mom says you're welcome anytime!" Mike added, again thanking them and you mention how you are not alone but willing to take the offer if needed,"What do you mean you're not alone?" Mike asked not understanding, just when you were going to answer him you heard Eddie's footsteps slowly making his way towards you.

"Wheelers! What are you doing here? Oh is that meatloaf? Great! I'm starving!" Grabbing the tray from your hands Eddie walks away towards the kitchen, you just shook your head and smiled.
"Oh yeah... right, you and Eddie" Mike said with a hint of disapproval. "Watch yourself Wheeler," you hissed at him.
"Right! Well... okay! Uh. So, we'll leave you two alone. Uh. Come on Mike. Just don't be afraid to drop by if you need anything!" Nancy yells as she starts to walk away and gets into her car. Only waving goodbye as you close and lock the door.

Making your way to the kitchen you see Eddie stuffing his face with meatloaf,"Eddie! Slow down, you're going to choke!" You laugh at him and grab two plates and a napkin so he can clean his face. Taking the napkins from your hands he whispers sorry, you just shake your head and smile admiring how adorable he is right now.
After eating you look at the time and it is currently 4pm,"wow! We slept for that long??" You exclaim to Eddie as he finishes washing the dishes.  
Walking up behind him, you wrap your arms around him and the both of you just stand there holding each other. Eddie kisses your forehead and then your lips. Finally letting go of each other the two of you walk to the living room and sit down on the sofa. Turning on the Tv, Eddie starts to flip through the channels to finally reach the movie channel,"Oh my favorite! The Shining!!" Your eyes widened as he said that. Scary movies we're not your thing, especially The Shining. "No. No. No. Change the channel. Anything but that! Please!" You tried to convince him but of course you caved in and went to the kitchen to make some popcorn and grab drinks for you and Eddie to enjoy while watching the movie.

Every time the killer popped out you held onto Eddie's arm and he just laughed at your reactions. The girl in the movie started running away and locked herself in the bathroom, the killer hit the door with an ax yelling,"HERE'S JOHNNY!!!"
At the same time someone knocked on the door which made you scream at the top of your lungs. Eddie couldn't help but laugh,"Shut up! It's not funny! Go open the door..!" You tell him while pushing him towards the front door and seeing the clock on the wall say 9pm.
