Meanwhile

"What do you mean he's gone!?" Tails demanded as he and Sonic searched the house for their missing guest.

"I don't know! He was here last night, but when I woke up, he was gone!"

"Do you think he might've just gone out for a flight? We could be panicking over nothing," Tails suggested, trying to tone down the situation, but his older brother shook his head.

"No, he wouldn't be gone this long. I think something might've happened to him. Or..,"he thought as he looked at the setting sun.

"Or?" Tails prompted. Sonic snapped.

"Maybe he went back to Amy's! We should go check it out!" he declared before grabbing Tails and taking off in a blue blur.

At Amy's House

"Oh, Cream, it was the most amazing thing! I just walked into the yard after visiting Sonic and Tails, and my garden looked like this!" Amy squealed happily as she and her best friend toured the enclosed area. Cheese flew above the flowers before he said something to his bunny caretaker.

"What do you mean, Cheese?" she asked, and he repeated what he said. Her soft brown eyes lit up with excitement.

"Miss Amy, Cheese said that a fairy or a pixie helped your garden!" she said. The pinkette's eyes widened. She was a very firm believer in magic, and so she had no problem believing them.

"Oh my goodness! A real fairy or pixie? No wonder my garden looks so amazing! I wonder what brought them to it though. Perhaps I should leave something out as a thank you! And maybe I could see it!"

"That's a wonderful idea," Cream agreed. As the two girls and Chao strolled back into the house, a rapid knock came to the door. Amy quickly went and opened it to find her life-long crush, and a rather air-sick Tails, standing on her doorstep.

"Hi, Sonic! Oh, you won't believe it! Cream said that a fairy or a pixie was the one that helped my garden! I'm so happy! We're making something to leave out, in case it comes back," she rambled all at once, while the boys let themselves in.

"Uh...Ames?" Sonic began nervously, and she stopped.

"Yes, Sonikku?"

"You haven't seen Shadow around, have you?"

"No. Why? Is something wrong?" she asked worriedly, as he rubbed the back of his head.

"We're not sure, but we think he might be in some kind of trouble," he answered.

"Oh, dear. Cream!" she called, and her friend came in from the kitchen.

"Yes, Miss Amy? Oh, hello, Mr. Sonic. Hi, Tails," she greeted politely, "Is something wrong?"

"We think Shadow might be in danger," Tails answered, and she held her hands to her mouth.

"We have to help him," she resolved, "Me and Cheese will help you look for him."

"Me too," Amy agreed.

"Thanks, girls," Sonic smiled, "Now we just need to think about where else we could look for him."

"Maybe he got lost in the woods?" Tails offered, and Sonic rubbed his chin in thought.

"Maybe..."

"How could Shadow get lost in the woods?" Amy asked, and the boys glanced at each other.

"You'll find out when we find him."
