Assault

Elijah's POV:
"I love you!"I declared with a smile laying in the dark room under the blanket and holding Yana in my arms,she chuckled and I gave her a kiss.

After a time,we somehow fell asleep at the same time.

But I was woken up by some footsteps.As I opened my eyes I remarked Yana sleeping peacefully while my ears still heard the footsteps,I knew someone broke in!

I quietly and in a slow way,but at the same time fast one,I grabbed after the gun I had in the nightstand's drawer.I didn't load it,because I knew I always left it loaded.

I laid myself back as I was and waited.My heart raced,but I tried to calm myself,because I needed to concentrated myself so I won't get killed,but mostly I didn't want Yana to.

The noise of the footsteps stopped,but then the sound of the door handle was to hear as it got pushed down.

The door opened and heard those footsteps again.

I counted in my head"One,two..."And without a hesitation,I turned around standing up fast and started shooting.

I got one from the first three shots and the other one ran away.Yana immediately woke up scared and panicked.

"Hide!"I demanded and tried to cover us with the blanket just in time when the other on started shooting at us,but thankfully he missed.

I returned back to the surface,but he was no where to be seen.

I got out of the bed and ran to the door where I hid behind for a few seconds before I sneakily tried to leave the bedroom.He wasn't on the right side of the hallway,I turned around fast and found him.

I shot for five more times until I got him too.

Blood was in the bedroom and in the hallway.

Without a hesitation I returned to the bedroom where Yana sat on bed frightened and with crying eyes.

She sighed in relief as she spotted me coming back alive.

"Are you alright?"I asked hurrying toward her,she nodded and approached me walking on the knees on the bed and we hugged each other tight.

"It's alright...it's alright now!"I tried to calm her down while rubbing her back.

I tried to stretch myself a bit so I can reach my phone from the nightstand and I dialed Bruno's number while still hugging Yana.

I asked him to bring Jaques and Pierre with him and so he did.

While I was giving Bruno orders for the next day,Pierre and Jacques started cleaning up the mess,but before that Pierre informed me"It was the Vipers,the tattoo is on the their right forearm."And showed me.

"I'll started tracking and kill Roman tomorrow,you'll stay here the entire time and watch Yana until I return back with my mission accomplished."I ordered."Yeah,sir!"Bruno replied and bowed.

Everybody left and it was past midnight.

"You should go to sleep."I suggested while walking in the kitchen."I can't."She mumbled before filling a glass with water and I knew why.

"Hey,it's alright,I'm here."I mentioned while approaching.She put the glass away after she drank from it and walked into my arms placing her head on my chest.

I rubbed her back and reassured her"Everything will be fine,everything will end by tomorrow."

I managed to get Yana in bed so that I can start working on killing the leader.
