Infiltration

Yana's POV:
As I was doing the finale touches of my appearance when I remarked Elijah standing in the doorframe of our bedroom.The arms crossed while his gaze was admiring me.I was wearing the dress I bought a day before which Elijah first saw now,simple black heels and the earrings he bought me a week before our wedding.

Elijah wore a black simple Dior suit.

I laughed under my breath and grabbed after the necklace which was on the table in front of me.I was about to fasten it when I heard Elijah uttering"Allow me,please."And saw him leaving something on our bed in the mirror and he approached me.

He gently took the necklace out of my hands while I tried to remove my hair and he fastened it in within five seconds.

"Thank you!"I softly uttered admiring both of us in the mirror."You look divine!"Elijah compliment sincerely before he left a kiss on the scar on my shoulder blade.I gave him a smile.

He made a few steps back and grabbed after what he left on the bed,he held a black file and a pen with the same color as the file.

He put those in front of me on the vanity.I looked down at them and he maintained"As I said,what's mine,it's yours,too."

I opened the file and read the black inked title "Leonte Mafia Inheritance".

I looked in the mirror and saw Elijah just standing behind me.I gave him a smile before I grabbed after the black pen and took its lid off.

I signed the inheritance paper.

I stood up from the chair and got in front of him.I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered"I love you!"Elijah laughed under his breath and whispered"I love you,too!"And kissed me passionately placing his hands on my cheeks while my hands moved down to his chest.

The doorbell rang making us broke the kiss slowly.

"My mother arrived."I said in a low tone,"I'll go get her."Elijah replied back.

And while he was walking downstairs,I was getting V out of her bed from the nursery since I put her there to watch TV and playing while Elijah and I were getting ourselves ready.

I walked downstairs with the baby when my mother was stunned by my appearance and complimented me"Wow,you look stunning,love!"

A giggle escaped my lips before I thanked and asked Elijah to get the bag with supplies for Victoria.

Meanwhile my mother started talking to the baby and she started laughing and loving it.

Elijah handed her the bag and my mom mentioned"You still didn't really tell me where you're going tonight."

I watched Elijah who was staring at her and he replied honestly"It's a mafia event."

My mom's gaze immediately moved at me and I could see the worry raising in her eyes.I wanted to reply,but no words came out of my mouth instead my lips tried to move.

"It'll be an event where other mafia leaders and consigliere are attending."Elijah tried to explain since he remarked me clueless and at the same time assuring my mother not to worry about.

She smiled and nodded"Well then...I wish you two a great time and come back safe,because you have someone here who'll need in the future."She maintained and stared at Victoria.

I could recognize her suspicion in her voice.

We thanked and before she left,we said goodbye to Victoria and her.

Elijah threw a look on his Cartier watch,"I think,it's time for us to go too."He said,I nodded and so we left the apartment.

We reached the car garage with the elevator where Bruno was waiting.He greeted us respectfully like he always does and opened the car door for me first.Elijah and Bruno got then inside too and Bruno started driving.

On the way to the event,Elijah mentioned and explained the plan which will be applied in case he feels danger approaching us.

After a forty minutes car ride,we arrived in front of an enormous white mansion.

Bruno stopped right in front of it's massive white marble door where I saw Jaques waiting for us.

Elijah's door was opened first and as he got out of the car,he walked over on my side and opened my door with a smile.

He helped me get out and closed the door.I confidently grasped after his arm and he led me in front of the huge door which Jacques opened for us.

Elijah threw me a look and I could literally read on his face the question"Are you ready?"

I nodded assertively and we made our way inside with confidence.

Over a hundred people were in the entire mansion.Each of them dressed elegant and had an air of gracefulness.

Waiters who were dressed in black suits with white shirts and black ties were walking through the entire mansion serving the guests red wine or champagne while in the background lavish music was to be heard.

Elijah and I started walking around greeting the people we know.

We first met the Akabanes from the consiglieres' conference.

They thanked for the invitation since our mafia organized it or better said Ezekiel.

While Elijah started having a conversation with Akio Akabane,I was talking to his wife Narua.

"We didn't see each other since Victoria's baptism party,how have you been?"Narua asked me friendly,I mentioned with positivity"Elijah and I have been well before we had a terrifying incident a few months,but our daughter is the one who gives us the strength to continue."

Narua's eyes widened as she heard me mentioning the whammy."No way!Why didn't Elijah contact Akio?"She wanted to know worried."He didn't want to drag anyone in our situation."I replied honestly.

Narua nodded and maintained"Well,Elijah knows,he can always come to Akio for help and I hope,I'll see Victoria next time,too."

We said goodbye and continued our way greeting others guests.
