Elijah's POV: I was in the kitchen cleaning it up because of last night's dinner when suddenly Mr.Claude's questions about my parents popped into my head making me stop from what I was doing.
I chuckled after a few moments,"How curious."I thought myself and then continued wiping the surface of the kitchen island.
Right when I was done,I saw Yana entering the kitchen."Mornin',mon amour!"I greeted her happily.She hugged me and placed her head on my chest,I put the piece of cloth away and hugged her too.
"Wait!"She exclaimed when she suddenly looked up at me,I frowned,"What time is it?"She wanted to know."11:15"I said as I threw a look on the clock on the wall.
Yana completely let go of me and informed"We have to go."I didn't know what she was talking about and followed her hurrying into the bedroom.
"What is it?"I wanted to know starting worrying a bit."I forgot to tell you,but we are meeting up with a new client and I don't want to keep her waiting."She informed while searching for some clothes,I nodded and tried to hurry to.
Yana gave me the address and we drove to a hospital,The Presbytarian.

Thirty-five minutes later... "Hello,we would like to visit Emiru Takahashi,we are her attorneys."Yana informed the young man receptionist,I instantly froze when she said her name.
"Yeah of course,here's the form for visitors,please fill it out in the waiting area."He explained after searching for her in the computer and handed us a form.
We thanked and sat down in the waiting area.
While Yana filled it out,I was just sitting there not knowing how to react.
I was waiting for the elevator while Yana walked back to hand in the filled form and I still couldn't believe the entire time what my ears just heard.
"This can't be true...it can't be her...it's not her."I thought to myself standing in front of elevator.
"Done."Yana's happy words brought me back to earth as she returned and grabbed after my hand.I nodded with a smile and in that moment the elevator opened.
We entered in and Yana selected the floor before sje started explaining"I have met her in the parking lot at the 5th Avenue when suddenly a group of men approached her and required some money which she didn't have."
I started becoming worried and thought of solutions.
As soon as the elevator opened its door at the fifth flor,the whole world stopped for a moment and my heart starting beating fast and fast with every step I took until we arrived in front of her door.
"Hey,are you alright?"Yana asked me before she wanted to knock at the door with a worry look.
"Hm?Yeah,I'm fine."I assured her with a smile,she smiled quickly back and knocked at the door.
She confidently opened itz
"Hello,Ms. Takahashi!"Yana greeted friendly entering first."We met on Friday."She reminded her.
"That's right,come on in."I heard her voice for the first time in twenty-three years.
"I'm here with my partner."Yana announced her and made for space for me so I can enter too.
"Hello!"I greeted politely bowing a bit and when my eyes met hers,I felt like I was hit by a lightning.
It was my mother.
She bowed too adding a smile while sitting on the bed.
We took two chairs and sat in front of her.
She started speaking with Yana while I was staring at her showing no emotion,because I didn't know how to react or what to say,my mind was completely somewhere else.
"Is it really you?Are you really my mother?"I asked myself.
So many thoughts ran through my mind.
"You think...Elijah...Elijah..."Yana wanted my attention staring at me."Hm?"I uttered being back on earth.
"Is it possible to make the hospital to sign for 24/7 security,if she's leaving it?"Yana asked waiting for me to answer."Yeah,of course,we'll just need to bring some documents to a courthouse to get them sign and bring them back to the hospital."I finally replied with an explanation and then I maintained strongly getting Yana confused"But I'll handle that problem."
I blinked and watched her ambiguously.She nodded understanding it and continued talking to her while I was trying to focus on their conversation.
"Alright,we'll return back in one or two days and we'll see how's going to continue."Yana informed her when we were done and stood up."Alright,I thank you both of you so much for your time and help."She said showing gratefulness.
We started packing the files and were about to leave when one of the nurses entered the room.
"Ms.Takahashi,did you find someone to accompany you at the event on Wednesday?"The young male nurse asked having a menu paper clip in his hands and a dark blue pen.
"No...not yet."She answered with a sad voice."What about your son or husband?"The nurse asked,but she didn't answer.
Suddenly Yana gave me a look which I totally got it.Yana turned around and spoke to the nurse with a friendly and voluntarily voice"We would like to accompany Ms.Takahashi,if that's alright?"
He turned around with a smile and nodded before he turned his head back to her who happily nodded and thanked us.
"Here is the form which I'd like to receive as soon as possible."He informed us handing the paper to Yana.
She nodded and mentioned"Alright,we'll bring it as soon as the documents are signed from the courthouse too."
We left and I was kinda happy to be honest.
My mind was messed up since I heard her name.
"Are you sure you are alright?"Yana asked me in the car giving me worry look,"Yeah,I'm fine,just a bit hangover from last night."I answered while driving.
Silence stroke in the car,but I interrupted it"Why did you offer to accompany her?"Yana sighed and replied with honesty"Because I just felt that I should do it.I feel bad for her knowing that she has no one who really helps her."
And from that moment I realized even more what a warm-hearted person Yana is which made my heart melt.
At home "I'll be in my study,I have to give an important call."I informed Yana when we arrived home.
"Yes,sir?"Bruno said over the phone,"Please do a background checkup for Emiru Takahashi,she's in Presbyterian Hospital."I demanded politely walking around my office.
"Of course,sir!"Bruno replied and I added to the second part of the demand"And please gathered everyone in the conference at 06:00."
I hung up and walked in the living room where I spent the rest of the day with Yana.I informed her about the mission and she totally supported me.
After the quick conference with my men,we made our way to the loan sharks bureaus in the east.
My men invaded all three bureaus and brought the bosses kneeling in front of me.
I beat each one of them before shooting them and their minions.
11:45 pm Home arrived,I found Yana already in bed since we had to work the next day.
I kneeled down in bed and leaned in giving her a kiss on the lips.She slowly opened her eyes and watched me sleepily.
"Did you finish the mission successfully?"She asked me with a raspy voice.I nodded confidently and kissed her again.
I got myself ready for the bed and dragged Yana into my arms.
