Yana's POV:
Two days later...
I was finally discharged from the hospital and was brought home by Elijah.

Victoria's birthday party was canceled,because of my condition,but at least she received some presents.

Elijah suggested that I should lay down and rest,because I didn't recover enough to stand on my own feet.

I did so and while he was making me a tea,I was looking after Victoria who sat in bed next to me playing.

Elijah entered the room with the hot mug and carefully handed me it so I can take a few sips.Then he put it on the nightstand,I thanked.

"Do you need anything else?"He asked friendly,I shook my head with a smile,he nodded and remembered"Oh,I must've forgotten to give you this."And took out of his right trousers' pocket a piece of jewelry.

"I think,this belongs to you."Elijah remarked showing me the necklace my mother got me as a present when I turned eighteen.

Ezekiel took it when I got kidnapped and it looks like he used it as a sign to lure Elijah.

I sighed in relief before I smiled and Elijah fastened it for me.

"Thank you!"I uttered grateful,he nodded.

"Alright,well I'll take V and let you rest now."Elijah informed me and I murmured"Alright!"

He leaned on and left a kiss on my lips.

I kissed Victoria's cheek and fell asleep a few minutes after they left and woke up three hours later,06:00 pm to be specific.

When I checked my phone,I remarked a text message from my mother.

Hi hani,hope you're feeling better.If you and Elijah need any help with V,please call.By the way,I'd like to visit you tomorrow and also give V her birthday presents since she didn't have a party.Text me,if you can.Love you!

I responded back.

Hey mom,I just woke up from a three hour sleep and I'm feeling better now.No need to worry about V,Elijah already took a few days off from the bureau.Sure,you can visit us tomorrow at anytime you want.I love you and see you tomorrow.

I sent the message and decided to stand up and move myself a bit since I spent most of the day laying in bed.

I walked out of the bedroom and a wave of silence stroke in the apartment.

I first checked Elijah's study,but he wasn't there.In V's room was no one.

My way continued downstairs where there was no one either.

"Maybe they must be in the park."I thought to myself since I brought V there everyday.

I walked in the kitchen and decided to prepare the dinner.

I was in the middle of cooking when I heard Elijah's voice"We're home now,baby."

I smiled and when I raised my head I saw him standing in front of me holding the baby.

A smile crossed his face and he approached me."How are you feeling?"He asked after the kiss he gave me on the lips and the kiss I gave Victoria.

"I'm fine."I simply and honestly replied."But please don't exhaust yourself."Elijah begged and at the same time warned cautiously.

I giggled with a shake of my head and assured him with a smile"I said,I'm fine.Don't worry."

He brought Victoria in the living room and put her in the baby playpen and returned back in the kitchen and started to help me.
