Yana's POV: Seven months later... The incident that marked and changed me passed away.Hardly,but passed away.Elijah kidnapped the leader and his accomplice a few days later after the funeral and shot them.He always tried to cheer me and affectionated me a lot.
Victoria was finally about to turn one year when a new incident intervened into our lives.
Elijah was on a mission in Japan while Victoria's birthday was around the corner.
"Want to see something adorable?"I asked Elijah over FaceTime in a whisper tone,he nodded with a smile.I slowly moved the phone to the right so he can see Victoria sleeping peacefully next to me.
"She is so pure."Elijah admitted quietly."She has taken your side of the bed."I said as I moved the phone back to me.
Elijah started laughing and then I mentioned casually"Hope you'll make it until V's birthday."He nodded and explained assuring me"I will.The jet is planned to departure tomorrow at midnight and I'll arrive around 01:00 pm."
"Can't wait to stun you at the airport."I mentioned with a smile.Elijah shook his head and explained"No need to.You can leisurely go shopping for the party.We'll meet home and have time for each other."And added a smirk at at the end.
I laughed under my breath and replied"Alright,I'm going to sleep now.I love you!"Elijah responded back"I love you too!Good night!"
We hung up and I put the phone on the nightstand and then stared at V for a few moments admiring her sleeping before I turned off the nightstand lamp.
The following day... V's birthday was only a day apart.I woke up before her and got myself ready for the day.Before I was driven by Bruno to the mall so I can buy the decoration and presents,he drove me to my mother's house so she can look after her.

He was helping me with carrying the bags and as we were near the car in the parking lot,I remembered that I forgot to buy the wrapping paper.
"I'll be back in a few,I forgot the wrapping paper."I stopped and announced Bruno,he turned around and said he'll wait at the car.
I bought the wrapping paper and returned.
I was walking straight the aisle in the parking lot,but then I stopped as I remarked someone dressed all black and with a mask and a black cap on the head walking toward me in an impulsive way as if I would be his target and he's trying to catch me.
I pretended I forgot something and turned around trying to walk away,but his footsteps neared and my speed increased.
"Aah!"I screamed and dropped the wrapping paper as suddenly someone else grabbed me right after the corner.
He was dressed exactly like the other one and held me tight trying to cover my mouth with his hand.
I desperately tried to escape his arms and yelled after Bruno.I tried to escape,but at the same time I stood stiff so he won't get me into the black van that its door got open by his fellow.
