It was deafning. The silence that swept over the empty penthouse.
Her office held no windows only monitors keyboards a chair and ventlation. Of course her plain desk sat there.
She had been sitting in that room staring at the wall for two days.
No communication, nothing. She couldn't hold her own anxiety long enough to focus enough to ing them.
So she fat there shaking and stuck in the cold stone cell she remembered all too well.
Then her monitors lit up. She shot up fixing her face and sitting up on her chair. She answered and it was Tony.
He is face showed up on the main monitor clear as day. The rest of the team nowhere to be found.
He was in some sort of hotel room."I need a trace and fast. The number of the id is-" She listened giving him information.
Suddenly feeling a wave of loneliness run over her. No pet names no hello straight to work.
She felt her resolve crumbling. The screen shut off when he got the information. She didn't even bother to say anything else.
Why would she? Clearly he didn't care. She was nothing but a mindless supercomputer he liked to have when he needed.
She sat in that chair quiet. She needed to fill the void.
How? Searching through the internet she found something. Retail therapy. Of course she knew what it was.
Many women in her time they were rich took part of it.
Buying everything and anything to make themselves happy or forget what was happening around them.
So she did what they did. She ordered decorations sex toys clothes shows and jewelry.
Everything Tony gave her the card to buy, it was therapeutic but also still a reminder of her loneliness.
So she waited for the shipping and made coffee. She ended up four cups in and writing notes.
Alot of it was about the current mission her eyes darting around the room where she would put everything.
Lights sticky note boards coffee machines mini fridges snack holders pens pencils highlighters.
She ordered a lot of stuff. She would eventually be able to forget about the shitty situation she was in, and the fact that she hadn't slept in two days.
She would just have to make the time go by quicker.
So against her better judgment she went to sleep. She needed it. Terribly. Sure she could go without see for a week or more.
Didn't mean she didn't need sleep. She really needed it.

The boxes had been put into the elevator by a staff member, so she was taking each box out one by one.
Everything was slowly unloaded and put in her space. Blankets and plush items.
She had basically lived in her office anyway. Eventually she had completed decorated it. The area wasn't small, but wasn't big.
Her can't monitor sat in the middle of the room. Off to the side was a coffe machine and a snack station.
Plush rugs were thrown on the cold black tile. Pin boards were scattered about along with fairy lights and painting frames.
On the other side of the room was a giant beanbag with a big waited blanket and a storage shelf.
The bottom half was wooden with a lock whole the top was open holding extra blankets and nicknacks. Then a she had her mug station.
With all her personal mugs and then underheld other things to do with beverages.
Her desk was decorated with cute own holders and trays for hints she needed. Of course with her room she had to get candles.
They were fake and created a dim light. Incense burnt on the corner of her desk.
Leaning back she closed her eyes content with her fake happiness. Shotos e nude wanted to stay in her little bubble. Then the screen glowed.
